We duel at dawnHacienda is some of the worst food I've ever had. I do not get the appeal.
Hot wet burrito full of shreddec ice berg lettuce that take on a the consistency of sucking a pond leach. Burritos are rice and beans not lettuce and tomatoes super heated. The seafood ala hacienda. Also a fave fake crabmeat slathered in some very liquidy super heated mayo thing. Its all garbage but it hits just rightWe duel at dawn

They've got a lot of other great dishes. My mom likes the spaghetti bake. Can't remember what my dad gets. Me, my kids, wife, we get the pizza.…best italian that indiana can offer…pizza…![]()
For me it’s the nostalgia of the $4.99 burrito combo that I loved as a kid and it was the first place I got free chips and salsa (and ranch). Once I turned 18 and I had friends that worked there I would order “virgin” margaritas sans virgin. Ahhh the memories!! But I do remember sitting on the toilet a lot the day after.Hacienda is some of the worst food I've ever had. I do not get the appeal.
To be fair, the only Salvatori's location I've been to is the New Haven location. That one is kind of odd because it's attached to a gas station in the middle of nowhere, so it's a rather unassuming location. We always go back when we're in the area though.I’ll be in Warsaw Monday. I’m trying it and if it sucks you guys owe me the extra gas money. Bad food recommendations deserve consequences. But then again hacienda is highly recommended on here too. Lol.

Starlight very overrated (also my wife’s fave). Pizza at volcano’s by the airport severely underratedSouth Bend has a fairly strong pizza game. Bruno's, Barnebees, and a few small guys in Mishawaka.
What’s a spaghetti bake? Some melted mozzarella on top? Out here oddly enough we do all kinds of baked pasta dishes just not that one. They've got a lot of other great dishes. My mom likes the spaghetti bake. Can't remember what my dad gets. Me, my kids, wife, we get the pizza.
Oh yeah??? Well I have access to at least 40 restaurants in a half hour radius that sell a deep fried pork tenderloin that has at least a 12" diameter. What’s a spaghetti bake? Some melted mozzarella on top? Out here oddly enough we do all kinds of baked pasta dishes just not that one.
It's like one of my favorite Carlin jokes; "I never fucked a 10, but one night, I fucked 5, 2's and that outta count for something!"Sometimes you have to smash a 3 to appreciate an 8.
Voted #1 Italian restaurant 5 years in a row. It started in the New Haven location and they expanded to 6 locations in total over the years due to popularity. The other locations look nicer than New Haven, they're more "modern Italian ambience," but they all share the same family recipes. Like I said, New Haven is an unassuming location, but the food is legit. Quit being a bitch and check it out.Best italian in indiana…new haven…gas station…pizza…baked spaghetti 🤷🏻
Iaria's. Been in business at the same location since 1913. The only problems is you need to detour through Indy to eat there.Best italian in indiana…new haven…gas station…pizza…baked spaghetti 🤷🏻
Honestly this exact post should be emblazoned on every single “Welcome to Indiana” sign upon crossing into the Hoosier state.Oh yeah??? Well I have access to at least 40 restaurants in a half hour radius that sell a deep fried pork tenderloin that has at least a 12" diameter.

In West Lafayette?Any of you familiar with an Irish bar called Nine Irish Brothers? I have to take my uncle there every time I visit.
You talking about the one in WL? Lafayette? Or Indy?Any of you familiar with an Irish bar called Nine Irish Brothers? I have to take my uncle there every time I visit.
God I do love a good tenderloin samich.Oh yeah??? Well I have access to at least 40 restaurants in a half hour radius that sell a deep fried pork tenderloin that has at least a 12" diameter.
In West Lafayette?
I’ve been to both WL and Lafayette. The one in Lafayette is easier for wheelchair access so we go out to that one. Solid Irish bar with Harp on tap.You talking about the one in WL? Lafayette? Or Indy?
Because, I went to Purdue so I have (some) memories that I can actually remember from the WL one.
God I do love a good tenderloin samich.
Chatham Tap is niceYou ever been to one of the Chatham Pubs? I hear there's a really cool one in an old part of downtown. They took us to one in Fishers or Noblesville. Total English soccer pub. Their tenderloin was called the War Pig. They add bacon and a gooey egg over a ton of cheese and jalapeno sauce. I'll never forget it.
We had a place out here where you could get Breaded Tenderloin, Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Fried Chicken or a Chicago style Breaded Steaks. While a breaded steak from a place like Ricobenes in Chicago is on my last meal list, there's something about chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes / gravy and honey glazed baby carrots that is the king of comfort food for me.
But a pork tenderloin the size of a man hole cover, onion rings and fried mushrooms from a proper root beer stand is pretty much heaven.
... as long as the car hop brings it to ya on skates.
