At the end of the day the dad is alive and they are $900,000 richer. 17 hours well spent. Lol. I’m 85% joking.Came here to post this. Unreal.
Post #5205 is a real howler too. We won’t see them admit they’re wrong though. lolBishop in shambles

Wait, so you were able to deduce all of that even though the cop didn't have his bodycam on, you however have access to that proof? Boy, you should share that with the PD because they reprimanded the cop.My comment was based on him continuing on after the policeman told him to stop.

Because there is proof that he spoke to a traffic cop before this incident happened and was driving a marked car.
Can you just admit you were wrong, or is there a pride component? Seriously, arguing this at this point is just sad.
1. Pointed it out to Gattaca since it was a real howler.1. You're the one that referenced my post. If you didn't want to argue, why reply?
2. You assumed I was in support of the policeman. I never said the policeman was right.
3. I know they reprimanded the cop. He overreacted. No question about it.
4. I am aware another policeman waved him on. I have no problem with that.
5. The policeman didn't have his bodycam on. What we saw was the overzealous policeman banging on his car trying to get him to stop.
6. Nor do you know what happened prior to the available footage so how do you know?
7. If the policeman approached Scheffler and he kept driving, well that's just stupid anyway you look at it.
8. Now here's the part you can't seem to comprehend. The overzealous cop approached Scheffler before we saw any video. How else did this incident start? It is at that time, Scheffler should have stopped instead of driving further on. I assume Scheffler told the policeman he was waved on but he wasn't having any of that. That's the time to stay where you are and get a supervisor involved. Not after the incident had escalated.
9. Neither party handled this correctly.
If I was taking the policeman's side, I would have said much more and defended him. I didn't. I know you're the smartest guy in the room, but sometimes you fail miserably at interpreting.1. Pointed it out to Gattaca since it was a real howler.
2. In that post you said "all Scheffler had to do..." How is that not taking cops side? lol what?
6. How do I know? It's been widely reported that Scheffler met with a traffic cop BEFORE the pyscho jumped on his vehicle. That's what I know.
7. Well, we know that didn't happen so I guess that hypothetical only exists in your imagination.
8. I can't comprehend? Buddy, you parroted some takes that were ridiculous for anyone that has an ounce of knowledge how sport events are run. Do we REALLY think that Scheffler (the world #1) doesn't know how to pass through a traffic stop? He was in a marked car and already spoke to a cop before this idiot jumped on his car. It's early morning with busses stacked up, it's pretty reasonable to think that someone jumping on his car isn't going to be a cop. After he found out he was a cop, he wanted to speak to them to clear it up. We know this because we have seen the video of that. Even after Scheffler was well within his rights to light up that moron he wanted to resolve the situation. But, somehow I'm the one that can't comprehend haha.
Say it with me - There is no reasonable ground to excuse any behavior of the cop.
lol you're trying to get your steps all in one shot walking this one back?If I was taking the policeman's side, I would have said much more and defended him. I didn't. I know you're the smartest guy in the room, but sometimes you fail miserably at interpreting.
I'm not walking anything back. Maybe you aren't the SGITR. My apologies.lol you're trying to get your steps all in one shot walking this one back?
"I'm just a guy in the middle" "One hand you pyscho cop who got publicly admonished by his own department, and on the other you have the video evidence"

Depends on the room. Why can't you say the cop was in the wrong?I'm not walking anything back. Maybe you aren't the SGITR. My apologies.
JFC are you that obtuse? Yes, the policeman was in the wrong. He never should have arrested him. Cite his ass and let him go. But as I've tried to explain to you numerous times, there is a very good chance that this wouldn't have escalated into his actions if Scheffler had stopped immediately. Why is that hard for you to comprehend? Wait, I forgot. Police bad.Depends on the room. Why can't you say the cop was in the wrong?
Yes, I'm the obtuse one. Not the guy trying to say both sides are at fault. Ok!JFC are you that obtuse? Yes, the policeman was in the wrong. He never should have arrested him. I’ve edited my post. You can now click on the link and read the story. It was my gift to you and the board.Care to summarize for those of us who are not WaPo loyalists?
I fully agree that what your article covers is horrible and no doubt true. I don't think it's a fair criticism of police in general, though. In any large group of people, you're likely to have child molesters and sexual assaulters. Some fields may give more access to young people and result in higher rates of sexual assault for that reason, but those aren't always an indictment of that particular group, just a numbers thing. I don't think police are more prone to sexual assault than coaches, doctors, teachers, or other fields where there's a lot of contact with young people.
I might disagree. Police are notorious for domestic issues and substance abuse. One big reason is that is often discredited is the mental strain that just working as a police officer has. Mental health professionals see the same mental health issues to those in the military. I have an old coworker get divorced over her x husbands contact with local high school girls.I fully agree that what your article covers is horrible and no doubt true.
