I am excited about Fasion also, but don't think he had Fuller's straight line speed. He could literally outrun the whole defense, and there was little they could do about it. Faison is quick, has moves and hands, and seems to be a solid route runner. Hope Leonard gets him the ball a ton.

Will Fuller had a gear only a select amount of elite guys have.

And thinking there's a chance Faison approaches Fuller's 2300 yds & 30 TD's over a 2 year period is something past wishful.

I doubt he approaches or exceeds Fuller's numbers, but the kid clearly has talent and is elusive. Just remember several plays last year where he was wide open. No argument here about how good or fast Fuller was. Kid could take the top off a defense better than about any ND wr I've seen.

This is where I’m at. Fuller was a beast and we probably won’t see another Fuller for a while.

But last year was also Faison’s first stab at WR, a year where he showed a lot of promise and a true knack for getting open. Mind you, this was with Chansi coaching the unit.

If he can continue to grow in the role and stay healthy, I don’t think 1000+ yard, double digit TD seasons are necessarily out of the cards by the time of his junior/senior year.

Maybe I’m just a hopeful believer.

I don’t think it’s the expectation, nor should it be, but I do think the upside is there.

He very likely ain't a 4.3 guy, but getting this kind of separation against an NFL draft pick DB in your first action as a true frosh is extremely impressive (time stamped). He is going to MASSIVELY benefit from being in an offense that's designed to give it's receivers more space to work with.

He’s probably going to lose most reps to Greathouse on any given Saturday. A thousand yards as a backup is highly unlikely. But I dig the optimism.

I wouldn't be surprised if Faison has a Ladd McConkey-esque career. If he can develop his route running abilities more, coupled that with his incredible foot-quickness, I think it's a very solid comparison.

Like McConkey, I don't think Faison will ever be a number one option in an offense, but will develop into a great secondary role before he departs the school. Would be a hell of an accomplishment for a former walk-on.

Not at all Fuller was a "legit" 4.3 guy and Faison will be closer to 4.45 but he has very good functional Football speed and quicks.

I think he surpasses McConkey's # pretty easily 119 rec. 1687 yds. 14 TDs 14.2 avg. are solid numbers but nothing spectacular over 3 years. He basically did McConkey's FR year in 6 games.

It could be very likely. I do think that a lot depends on how many mouths at WR need to be fed. The upperclassmen depth chart clears out a lot after this season, but there will be a lot of competition on the roster.

That would be fantastic, and a first round draft pick like Ladd? Just takes 1 NFL team to see what a secondary role receiver can do to help you win!

Very true, I can honestly say sans injury, his numbers will be much better than what McConkey did this past season (30/478/2). I expect him to be in the (38/585/6) range.

No, if I didn’t know he was hurt, I wouldn’t have thought he was hurt. His led on both legs, no brace or ice that I could see.

It honestly made me think, “why aren’t you out there”

But that hip drop was nasty looking.
