I hope he rips like a -6 on the back 9.

Safe to say Valhalla can kiss having the PGA Championship goodbye for a few decades.
Sounds like it was a local law enforcement situation. Not really sure it’s the club’s fault.

What a weird situation. There are witnesses that say the cop directing the players in told him to do what he did and go around since he was there for traffic detail. The cop that had the issue was part of the accident investigation.

As a firefighter I’ve seen a lot of people try to drive right through emergency scenes, even with obvious barriers and/or emergency lights in use. I’ve also seen plenty of cops overreact and lose their minds. Only surprising thing about this story is that it’s the #1 golfer in the world.

It seriously sounds like the cops weren't on the same page as to what was going on. One gave him directions on what to do and go around and one went bat shit crazy. Interested to see how this all plays out in the end. The truly sad part is the death of the individual

Had our Friday round cancelled by rain so we went to downtown Louisville and played on the sim at Five Iron Golf. We played Valhalla while watching the PGA on tv. It was really fun. Ironically, we accidentally set the tees from the tips. It played almost 7700 yards. None of us are big hitters and the majority of our tee shots barely got to the fairway (some didn't at all). It gave me an entirely new perspective on the length these pros have. I think Bryson's driving average this week was over 100 yards beyond what I was hitting on the sim. I literally had to hit a driver on a par three (missed the green, but pin high). Just crazy.

Saturday was our day at the course. Thank God too because of that rain on Friday would not have been fun to endure. We had sunshine and mid 80s all day. The areas of the course where the fans could walk was a legit cow pasture though. Just a mess from the day before. We held up in the #9 green grandstands for most of the day before venturing to the back. Thought number 18 was truly a remarkable hole.

Regarding Scottie, sounds like the charges are getting dropped. And from the reports that came out with the details of that morning, it sounds like it's the right move.

The cop lied. That report was utter horseshit. Will be interesting to see how this one plays out. That video of the DA having a tantrum in court the other day tells me that the city is going to double down.

Yall see the video yet? In no way was that cop dragged that ran up and hit his window. He stopped immediately upon the officer striking the driver's window then it looked like cop tried to pull him out the window.
Just saw it. No surprise now why his body cam wasn't on:

Now imagine if this was just some random Joe nobody from Louisville that no one cares about instead pf the #1 golfer in the world. And then people act incredulous when others don't trust police and their bullshit.

The thing that annoys me most is that there appear to be around 5 other officers standing there watching it go down and none of them 1) told Dirty Harry to calm down for a minor misunderstanding/disobedience; 2) contradicted the Dirty Harry's report that indicated he was drug by the car.

A bad apple spoils the bunch. If one officer is a liar/bully, and the other officers take his side no matter what, then he makes them all liars/bullies. It really creates a nasty "us vs. them" mentality between the citizenry and the police that shouldn't exist.

4 over for the round. 8 bogies and 2 Aces. Not a birdie in the bunch. I'm sure back to back Aces has never happened on a tour event, primarily because I'm sure most courses don't have back to back par 3's. Kind of crazy.

I don’t know if I’d ever play again if I had back to back aces on 2 swings. Golf career has nowhere to go but down.
