Nothing changes my outlook - this was Angeli's job to lose and Leonard was just here as insurance.
Boy you cray cray

15 other stadiums from Eugene to Tallahassee would like a word. This isn't a blessing. We have a new OC, new QB, all new WRs and WR coach. This is a big deal so I'm not going to down play it, and we play in arguably the toughest place in America in week 1. Steve isn't it IMO, but I hope I'm wrong.
This isn't a big deal, it's a stress fracture surgery. He will be able to do full workouts in 8 weeks. Everyone is overreacting.
It ain’t no kinda nothingI don’t think this is nothing.
Still waiting for a doctor to say, "Yeah, not gonna lie, that wasn't my best effort and we may have to redo it in a few months"It's the same one according to MF
They needed to tweak the plate. He said everything went great according to the docs

I wasn't sold on the idea that Angeli would transfer to begin with, though I'd agree this makes that less likely. In a roundabout way, this may end up as a net positive for ND in the end. Obviously missing out on Spring reps is bad, and this seems to be a recurring issue with Leonard which is cause for concern. If Leonard was clear QB1 after the Spring though, Angeli was in all likelihood transferring. Hard to see him transferring now as he’ll be the clear QB2 for a QB that hasn’t been healthy for more than a couple weeks at a time since September 30th.
He goes one to detail the timeline of events and what was repaired. Did you scroll all the way down?Did I miss something? He just gave Freeman’s quotes from the presser, but maybe I missed it.
When was the last time we heard a coach say the surgery didn’t go well and we are fucked? It's the same one according to MF

That last occurred when the IE fanbase was reasonable and pragmatic. When was the last time we heard a coach say the surgery didn’t go well and we are fucked?
That crap is done through press releases. When was the last time we heard a coach say the surgery didn’t go well and we are fucked?
It’s the least we could do after we gave him the injury in the first place. So ND is paying for him to come here and have surgeries and rehab
Don’t you do a physical before taking transfers?
Duke has better medical staff/doctors locallyIt’s the least we could do after we gave him the injury in the first place.
Guess you didn’t get it.That crap is done through press releases.
Sharrif Floyd comes to mind of a surgery that went really bad.

The operation was a success, however, the patient died. When was the last time we heard a coach say the surgery didn’t go well and we are fucked?
At least you got it. I guess I better use italics the next time. The operation was a success, however, the patient died.
Yeah, just seeing Freeman’s quotes and info he gave during the presser. Stress fracture started to appear, and replacing/resetting the existing plate. He goes one to detail the timeline of events and what was repaired. Did you scroll all the way down?
I appreciate my fellow Irish fans’ optimism with Angeli and Minchey’s play, but we’re losing 3+ games this year with those two as our starting QB. And frankly, with this year’s schedule, that is unacceptable. Angeli’s mop up time against an abysmal PItt team and going against Oregon State’s walk-ons was great and all, but like Hartman, we got Riley for a reason. He needs to get healthy. He needs to play.
Then why didn’t they fix it when he was there?Duke has better medical staff/doctors locally
Because he didn't start wearing Under Armour until he got hereThen why didn’t they fix it when he was there?
