What a great argument and problem to have Love vs. Price, this will be a great 1-2 punch.

The long run that Price had his freshman year at the B&G and what Love showed last year.

Our running game is going to wear out defenses this year.

If I had to start one of them for a game tomorrow I am starting Love.

I don’t think it’s about love vs price…. I think more important question is do those two account for 75% of rb carries or say 90%? Are they the third down back as well? We had consistent roles for 4-5 rbs last year, I think that’s far too many.

I think some of you guys were sold on one big play in the bowl game. I think Love was more impressive throughout the year, more consistent. I think Price will do well, but I don't think he's shown enough yet. I hope he knocks it out of the park, but I'd expect Love to get a majority of the touches still.

I think Love gets 65-70% of the carries and Price the rest.

Third down back- bulk up Kedren Young and I'd like to see what he can do.

Love doesn’t have a strong enough lower body to be a workhorse. At least he didn’t his true freshman season. He had trouble on inside runs and defeating tackles.

Just quietly I might have missed Loves big games. I just can’t recall what the massive fuss is about. (Not being a jerk, I am sure he is great).
what big games did he have? I’ll go watch them again.

No one had big games behind estime. His runs vs Ohio state were impressive.

Price really did next to nothing at rb spot after one run vs navy and a run or two vs nc state until coming out party vs Oregon state. Love had good hard runs most games.

To me price is a little more natural but you can tell coming off injury, love just has rare potential at the position.

Both will be really really good.

I've been really excited about JD since early in this thread. And I'm a huge Kedren Young believer and I love Love.

This room is going to be bananas if the OL can play sound.

Some people just... look different out there, and he's one of them. He was so close to breaking them on limited carries. I think if he had Estime's volume we'd have seen house calls we haven't for a while.

It's an early bet, but I think he has heisman level potential.

No way, Price is awesome, but Love was the best back tonight. Showed some heart fighting for those extra yards too. 6.5 YPC, 91 total yards against a tough defense.

Really? I saw it the other way. Love had more carries, more yards, higher YPC. There's a reason they cross trained him, he's a playmaker that they have to get the ball to.
Without Price's big run he's got 7 carries for -3 yards.
Love had 6.5 YPC. You take away his big run instead, he still has 4.8 YPC.

Thats interesting how what we experience isn't always what happened.

Love absolutely did important things, but it just seemed like JD came in and showed twitch and breakaway speed.

Either way... fuck it... im so god damn happy.

I don’t think I can say either way who was better. His huge run called back. Either way with Riley, Love, and Price in the backfield were are gonna be gooooood!

I agree with this…. Price had to many mental mistakes running even after first quarter, can’t have this negative runs because you’re constantly bouncing it

Price had 2 good runs, one called back. He has negative 3 yards on his other 7 runs. Although his td run was kicking it outside, he needs to learn to cut inside, that’s where he would have had a much better game
