I’m here for it.a DB haul of Ivan Taylor, Ethan Long, Jadon Blair, Cree Thomas, Mark Zackery, and Dallas Golden would be the most elite haul I can remember...🤞🤞🤞🤞

Merton Hanks.Looks like Darrin Walls with that long neck.
Sounds like a problem with a bunch of them..Still working on a spring visit to ND (allegedly) but Loy doesn't love ND's show with O'leary gone.
This comment is extremely funny. Of any of the issues at ND during the past few years, safety play is not one of them. If on field performance is borderline championship level, who cares…and please dont bring up DJ Brown not intercepting a pass against OSU as some way of validating that safety play was an issue and stemming it back to recruiting. It's extremely funny that O'Leary was a crappy safety recruiter while he was at Notre Dame, then he left and hurt Notre Dame's safety recruiting because he'd finally gotten good at half of his job.
I think there's a big difference between coaching and recruiting. In 2022 he whiffed at Safety, in 2023 they were 1-2 players short at the position, and in 2024 he took a project, a player who might be better suited at OLB, and a good athlete who hasn't played much Safety. His recruiting from the 2022-2024 classes wasn't anything to brag about. His coaching, on the other hand, was excellent. This comment is extremely funny. Where did I comment on his coaching? His Top 3 safeties last year were moved to safety because of his recruiting misses, and the best safety he coached at Notre Dame was recruited by Terry Joseph and Clark Lea.This comment is extremely funny. X Watts was a Chip Long and Del guy...italics?Where did I comment on his coaching? His Top 3 safeties last year were moved to safety because of his recruiting misses, and the best safety he coached at Notre Dame was recruited by Terry Joseph and Clark Lea.

*Both* of his best safeties were recruited by someone else.X Watts was a Chip Long and Del guy...italics?
When did Hamilton win the Nagurski?
I didn't call him a bad coach, though. He's clearly a very coach. But he *did* need to swipe players from other positions because he was a liability as a recruiter (ND could have used Watts at WR!) So it's funny that when he became a good recruiter, he left Notre Dame and (potentially) hurt safety recruiting.I was more saying if the on field results are what you need for a championship caliber defense, does anyone really give a shit how many stars are next to the name of the kids he recruits on some random football website. If the results are not there, then I think it needs to be determined if its a coaching issue, recruiting issue, or both. That was not an issue with him, so does it really matter where the players came from? The goal is to win football games, and ultimately championships, and his secondary moved the ball forward in that regard.
Taylor and Blair at S and a CB haul of Zackery, Golden, Thomas would be ELITE!4/6 and I'd be ecstatic tbh
I still contend there is a "leader" with a verbal commitment. Other than that, we're going off of feelings and rumors.Seems we were the leader, lost momentum, but picked it back up
Either the NIL wasn't what was promised or we upped the ante.Seems we were the leader, lost momentum, but picked it back up
or his main recruiter left for the NFL. Jesus Christ not everything is money relatedEither the NIL wasn't what was promised or we upped the ante.
Don't you know every recruit wants to go to ND but if they get more money they'll go somewhere else!or his main recruiter left for the NFL. Jesus Christ not everything is money related
Blair is a big fan of Chris O’Leary.or his main recruiter left for the NFL. Jesus Christ not everything is money related
With Golden, Zachary and him finishing off the DB class I’d feel pretty damn good about the future secondary. Still have Johnson, Moore and Hobbs rolling in this summer. Lots of athleticism!I still am high on Jadon. Think he give you a very versatile player with his length. Very glad this visit went super well.
