Why is he sitting out?
Out of control.
His size and length will probably warrant a late round pick. But, yes, I don't think it should require him to sit out the bowl game. Why is he sitting out?

Well, he us one shoulder injury away from it being no draft pick. Considering his history, I think he more than others should sit.His size and length will probably warrant a late round pick. But, yes, I don't think it should require him to sit out the bowl game.
I agree on some (Liufau, Hartman, etc) but Hart will get drafted. He’s a very good corner with the sort of measurables the NFL loves. He owes it to himself not to bust his shoulder in the Sun Bowl.I know he’s one of the good ones but this could be the last meaningful game for quite some time for these borderline guys.

I wonder what Notre Dame/college football can do to prevent these opt outs. I don't think Notre Dame has one draft eligible player playing in the bowl. Joe Alt and Audric Estime would be stupid to play. The others? There is a very good chance none of them get drafted, besides JJB.
I wonder if they can add some kind of bowl game participation language in NIL contracts. Or, as it was stated in an II podcast, play your bowl opponent in the next season as a regular season game.
I can't think of any way to get guys to play besides paying them. I'm not pressed over opting out of the Sun Bowl, but if Cam and Hartman and others did this for a NY6 bowl it would be more disappointing. I guess that's the playoffs next year so a moot point.
The first pick of the fourth round will sign a contract worth approximately $4.72 million and receive a signing bonus of approximately $887,172.
The first pick of the seventh round will sign a contract worth approximately $3.963 million and receive a signing bonus of approximately $123,384.
I don’t think he is borderline. I predict he gets drafted and become a starter.I know he’s one of the good ones but this could be the last meaningful game for quite some time for these borderline guys.
This post DID age well. You nailed it.Was expecting this to be a transfer announcement bump. He could use the extra year. He has the perfect body for a prototype NFL CB, IMO.
This is the same face I make when the lady asks me if instead of drinking heavily by the fire and playing Golden Tee afterwards on a Saturday night, would I rather go for a walk and watch rom coms on Netflix...
Good looking out brother....LOLNever and I repeat NEVER get sucked into a Lifetime/Hallmark movie. It is certain you will finish the movie and never get that time in your life back.

Both are awful, especially on a Saturday night.Just Netflix, or Netflix and chill? There's an important distinction there!
