It would be interesting to know the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ND fan sites. I was surprised that the 1st is Blue and Gold. I would have thought that Irish Illustrated was first.
Is B&G #1? If you are referring to the list/Tweet Dublinirish posted, those are all On3 fansites. II would never make that list since they aren't part of On3.

I think these are just the On3 internal rankings by team. If we could compare the ND sites against each other it’s be pretty interesting.

That list was only On3, considering all sites I believe it goes II, ISD, BGI, Rivals.

Ironically, the people that think the reason SI is in tubes because of stuff like this would love if their wives shed a few pounds to look like this.
I agree 100%. As we all remember on here, SI Swimsuit issue was a cultural phenomenon that put women on a pedestal b/c of their physical beauty. So there’s zero wrong w/ the appearance of that young woman and I’m sure many men would be proud to have a girlfriend/wife that looked like her.

It had its niche and then they felt the need to expand it to women who looked attainable and far from perfect. That’s fine but don’t be surprised if the viewership complains when they’re used to seeing unattainable beauty that they can only fantasize about.

Now if that look was what was the majority of men desired, then that’s who SI should promote to maximize their ultimate goal…profit via advertising revenue. But deciding to manipulate that w/ their own opinion of what a “supermodel” should look like is where they lose their core audience. As Bud Light learned, know your core audience. Was it silly for Bud Light enthusiasts to “boycott” it? Sure…if you like the beer, drink the damn beer. But at the end of the day, people vote w/ their pocketbooks. But SI can do what SI wants & let the chips fall where they may. I wish them luck.

The swimsuit issue was historically their best selling issue. Why mess with a good thing?

Because they thought they could temporarily sell more by courting controversy. It's really not complicated. 99% of "stands" or "statements" made by corporate entities are because they think they can make more money by dominating the news cycle when everyone freaks out on Twitter about it.

But regardless it's not the swimsuit issue that killed SI. They totally shifted their sports coverage to cheap blogs and lost their reputation for quality journalism.

Man the onfield mic/production is so much better for the NFL than for ND on NBC. You actually get a feeling of the game in Detroit right now.

I watched the USC game replay last night and it truly sounded like they had the game muted and jacked up Collinsworth and Garrett’s mics, which is the exact opposite of what the people want.

It was more a rhetorical question, but I agree. This isn't your dad's SI anymore.

Feels like it has been multiple death punches for several years and this is the final one. Getting an issue every week has now gone the way of buying a CD or going to Blockbuster. Good nostalgia.

I am actually stunned that Coman Publishing has managed to keep Blue and Gold Illustrated in print for this long. I still get a subscription and I hate to say this but I've typically been waiting for the email to come that it is going to be no longer.

I have three, so I get it. Im just worried about their general health. Maybe we can start a Go Fund Me and send some vitamins?

I have two (6,4) play hockey and go to the gym. I am always sick as well, but yeah. Maybe send them a "Pro Tip". Slam an EMERGEN-C and a liquid IV every AM.

Do those work well? I see people mixing it in their water all the time. That and BioLyte.
