You must have missed Payne’s TD. He moved the pile at the goal line and those weren’t little guys he moved. He’s a terrific short yardage back.
Ford’s utility is a little more subtle. Appears they’re using him as a blocker in the two sets. Might be our best TB blocker.
I think the five man rotation is working great

Another reason you run it with 4 mins left and you are winning. You run Estime and Payne a few times then one of Love or Price and that’s how you make the defense tired and potentially break one open.

ND would be smart to get him involved at WR move him around all over kinda like Christian Mcaffery. We are deep enough at RB where we can move him around
I'm wondering what has taken so long. He seems to have the skillset to also split out wide. Maybe just too much to try to do it all his freshmen year but I can see him being split out on passing downs.

..... what has taken so long is that the team was built for lots of pounding --- that's Estime. When we could feed Estime we punished teams. This is what worries me about Estime not playing (nor the tackles.) Will we be able to REGULARLY run? It's POSSIBLY true and I hope so, but no green-colored glasses yet until I see the "new" OLine, and the "new" game plan, and if Angeli can keep defenses honest. Next year? After a full practice season? I have faith in the remaining OLine talent to gel, and Love and Payne to run behind them, and whoever is at QB (Leonard particularly) to throw it to Faison, Greathouse, Raridon, etc. Now vs Oregon State? Teeth are on edge.

He and price are both elusive and athletic with different traits. While Estime can run through you, this guys will more run around, over, and under. Looking forward to seeing them both in the bowl game and next year. Praying for good healthy for both the next two years.

Parker didn’t know how to use him.

Said he would love to line up in the slot this year to showcase what he has. I'm not opposed to it move the guy around and get him 15 touches a game. We are also deep at RB Love, Price, Payne are all capable and both Freshman are good enough to play right away.

It's worth it to get creative with him if only because he's special and might be our best offensive weapon. However I think he should get a lot of regular carries. He's just legit. Mini-Adrian Peterson.

I remember when everyone would say this recruit or that recruit would be our Harvin. I actually think Love is probably our best shot to have a player like that.

I can’t be the only one that sees so much CJ Procise in his game. Procise was electric in 2015 so that certainly has me excited with Denbrock back

He is good no doubt about it. But I think the he needs to be back 1B behind Price. Price has tremendous vision and good strength. Then you complement with Love and this back field will be just as dangerous. Deland has done a fantastic job.

Love and Price will be a nice combo for ND at RB next year. I think ND can do more with Love and they should utilize his speed at slot or jet sweeps.
2024 might have the best group of skill players since the Weis era. It'll be great to have someone like Denbrock running the show- he's shown time and again that he will adjust his offense to fit the personnel

100% agree. Too bad we didn't have Denbrock for 2023 as he is what this offense needs. I would like to see Aneyas Williams get some PT.

Freeman has put together a great coaching staff.

15 more LBs over next two years and he's Darren Mcfadden. And we're so lucky to have Price but Love is going to be better and the #1 if both stay healthy.
