Was looking at 247s transfer ratings the other day. Some other notable grades:
  • Dante Moore 95
  • Holden Staes 93
  • Riley Leonard 92
  • Tobias Merriweather 92
  • Rico Flores 91
  • Braylon James 90
  • Kris Mitchell 89
  • Chris Tyree 89
  • Jordan Clark 89
  • NaNa Osafo-Mensah 88
  • Zeke Correll 88
  • Beaux Collins 88
  • Joey Tanona 88
Some of these are confusing to me.

Seems like they just updated and dropped Tobias to a 90. Now Braylon James is somehow ranked ahead of him in the WR transfer rankings.

So it seems like they don’t even know what they’re doing with the rankings.

247 is clearly overweighing years remaining. Surprisingly the ESPN transfer rankings seem way more accurate.

Imagine having two eyeballs and thinking Chris Tyree is less valuable /impactful than Tobias Merriweather.

I think you can't ignore the flashes of his talent. Maybe 4 or 5 plays this year were slightly salivating.

I don't necessarily think that's wrong. I was as hard as anyone on TM but I'd rather have him than Tyree in 2024. TM can glidle like few others, he's soft and has weak, hands, but he runs lile a gazelle. Tyree drops balls, fumbles, and just isn't that special at getting open and certainty not after catch IMO.

After Merriweather got ran down by that white linebacker I wondered what all the fuss was about. Don’t think Merriweather can hang with the big boys.

I'm not going to defend TM but at least he had a way to scare the defense. Tyree is the Kiser of the offense but with drops and fumbles.

Great pick up for ND, I think he has the same impact or more of an impact than JJB did.
