Luke Fickell either loves his assistants moving on to better gigs, or he's setting up his future staff if he gets the head coach gig at ND.

If Golden leaves ND, is Freeman next gonna ask Fickell for Mike Tressel as DC?

Good luck Coach Brown! Hope he does great things here.

I would definitely assume you would want him coaching your position ASAP. Benefits him and the group both to get these practices in together before next year. He can assess his group that he currently has and they can acclimate to his coaching before spring ball.

I'm on board. Developed speed merchants at cincy into nfl picks. Denbrock loves him.

Get him better raw material to work with at nd and watch him go full mickens.

I am still not sure about this hire.

But I will still cheer for him to do well and hope he brings so much need improvements to the teams WR’s.

My thought process toward this guy is to see what Colzie does under him. To me Deon might have the most potential in the WR group thats not a freshman or transfer. I want to see him out it togther.

The fact that Colzie seems to be sticking around is a really good sign. I'm sure he's not having the career he had hoped for, and is now on his third WR coach. Would be easy for him to bail. But he hasn't. (I suppose he could yet if he's low on the depth chart after spring ball).

Hope he stays healthy and a new coach helps it click for him. He has enormous potential. And there's a lot to be said for the guys who work through some adversity.

This was done and made official quite quickly. Certainly quicker than we've grown accustomed to when it comes to assistant coaching hires.

Assuming Brown was already vetted recently and the process was that much quicker?

just wait until we find out he has fake degrees and we get O'Leary'd again and the admin kills the program again

Someone had to stick around to show Coach Brown the ropes.

Hope this guy knocks it out of the park.

Collins and Mitchell committed bc we brought Brown on board and it has nothing to do with RL “potentially” committing “today.”

If he was vetted before stuckey hire I could see that pushing this through faster than normal

He used to work pretty closely with Freeman and Gino and maybe Mickens? If there were issues, probably they'd be aware.

I am going to to try to be fair and give him an opportunity but this want a lot of people were saying. Another limited search because Freeman knew him.
