I appreciate your willingness to be objective about this. I’ve not hidden my feelings that I think Bama isn’t as good as people want to pretend. I agree, I think they are better than the team that lost to Texas or nearly lost to South Florida. The Auburn game provides me much less support for the idea they are CFP quality being so recent and against a team that just got wrecked at home the week before to a team I had to look up to make sure I got the team name right.Ok. I respect your opinion. I do think we got much better as the season progressed. Auburn is Auburn, especially in their house. We’re their Super Bowl every year. Are we good enough? We will see in the coming weeks. Gonna be a tough road for sure.
By the way, now that the deed is done… Fuck Michigan, Roll Tide.Ok. I respect your opinion. I do think we got much better as the season progressed. Auburn is Auburn, especially in their house. To take this a step further, Michigan's offense has been flat out bad against PSU, Ohio State, and Iowa... who were the only teams they've played with real defenses. Bama's defense is ranked 9th by advanced stats which isn't elite but it's very good.A rested, healthy Bama with the winter break to game-plan will stomp Michigan imo..
Their roster is bigger, faster & more disruptive..
Michigan hasn’t played a good team all year besides OSU & they’re not great this year either.
How many times have we seen regular season inefficiencies look non existent on the playoff turf after almost a month of rest & preparation?
imo Bama will be well oiled for this game, flying to the ball faster than any D Michigan has faced & faster at the skill positions than any offense Michigan has faced.
I think putting stock in rivalry games isn’t a good measuring stick though. With all the voodoo playing Auburn at their house, a one point win is worth it every time.I appreciate your willingness to be objective about this. Yet what he said is still completely true. And you actually thought he was gonna say something different? All that old bastard does is suck off the SEC and for ESPN and that’s it. if it’s not in the SEC they ain’t worth a fuck. He is the biggest homer of them all.
I'd alt line bet that game at Bama -9.5Hearing (not seeing) Michigan is a 2 point favorite over Bama.
... against the 55th ranked SOS, so big whoop. They didn't lose any games
That’s the whole thing that is shitty it shouldn’t matter what anyone thinks or feels. It should be about what happens on the field. They went 13-0 with one of the best defenses. No one has any clue how they would do against the other teams. No one. Results should matter not some persons feelings or opinions.Obviously happy Bama made it in. I also feel for FSU as well. While I don’t think they would have done very well without their starting QB, they were still undefeated. Deserving? Yes. The better team? I don’t think so.
Someone better check on Danny K. 😂
Hearing (not seeing) Michigan is a 2 point favorite over Bama.
Michigan could absolutely beat Bama. Michigan's defense is better by every menaingful metric and they arguably have the better QB. I think Bama wins but IDK.They've already been bet down to 1.5 on FanDuel. One of my reasons for thinking there is no way BAMA or Georgia got in last night was because Michigan was a pick em against the field before they released the rankings. I thought no way Vegas has faith Michigan beats Bama head to head and sure enough Bama gets paired with Michigan and Michigan is favored? I know people will point to Washington and Bama being underdogs and winning but something about Vegas being so confident in skunkbear doesn't sit right with me.
I will cheering hard for Y'all.Funny how most of the talking heads at ESPN railed against Bama but those same talking heads are predicting that Bama beats Michigan. They can’t even convince themselves what they are saying.
Michigan will be a tough game for sure. I like Bama’s chances and hope we can beat them.
Audition? At least we’re using words that go with what college football really is. Theatre. It’s not really a full sporting competition. More like figure skating with judges and costumes and pageantry. I remember when people used to brag about how important every game was. Now it’s “every game matters, unless it’s an early season double digit loss at home, in which case it matters a little less”.How many would take ND over FSU with 2nd/3rd string QB? I would.
The regular season is an audition to be in the conversation. FSU made the conversation yet didn't measure up.
