Texas
Bama

I don't see how Texas is behind Bama, since they won a head-to-head and have the same number of losses. But I don't see how the SEC is left out, either. I think UGA has to be out. And FSU will have to drop even with a win.

Seems like the perfect year to leave FSU out. Any complaint about the 4 team playoff immediately does not matter and we don't need to give Michigan a bye into the championship.

Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Bama would be the most even 4 team playoff since the first one. Maybe even more so because FSU was a mess that season.

No matter what scUM will finally have to play someone. There only tough game is OSU at home and we almost beat them. They will have to play Texas, Bama or Georgia and I don’t see them beating any of them. Unless the CFP really want to bless them for cheating and jump Washington above them so they can play FSU and their 3rd string QB. 🙄

IDK - playing an OK State team (will they even be in the top 25?) that just got blown out by TX would be a real damp squib. Hoping for almost anything else.

I hate our ACC bowl tie-ins. If we don't make a NY6 bowl, half of the time we drop down to some lower tier late December bowl against a middling Big 12 team. The Outback Bowl against LSU would have been against another ranked team but because a team neither Notre Dame nor LSU played lost we are in a worse bowl?
