Houston has fired Dana Holgorsen per Bruce Feldman
I looked him up.
He has been a HC for a long time but would probably make a great OC. He would be able to recruit Texas like a mad man.
But he would want a lot of money. I don't think the ND powers that be would approve of him.

Doesn’t he have a reputation of being difficult? The anonymous NFL scout that’s on X referenced him being a jerk to NFL scouts. Houston fans seem very happy with his firing.

No chance ND or MF ever hires an air raid coach

You don't want Holgorsen at ND as OC or anything else. Just leave it, please. Every guy that gets fired this week isn't going to be a potential fit for Notre Dame. The vast majority of them, in fact.

TAMU paid Jimbo $76M to go away, wanted Mark Stoops, got Elko instead. The fact that Elko was their second choice is a little bit pleasing and a little bit funny to me more than it should be.

Right. I don't want to hire one of these fired guys. Let's steal someone that has been successful and still has a job.

I don't want Dana Holgorsen. Full stop.

If you're going to hire a fired HC to be your OC or anything else, it's got to be the right guy. Holgorsen is a "no" for a variety of reasons.

No need to be in a hurry. Parker hasn't been fired yet.
I don’t think they fire him unless they’re confident in an upgrade (insert line how half this board would be an upgrade). Makes sense to kick some tires before making that move.

New Mexico, UTEP and ULM all open now (Gonzales, Dimel, Terry Bowden all fired respectively).

That was a rare exception and after UT almost beat them last season in Austin & did beat them handily in T-Town this year, I wonder if they go back to neutral sites.

I guess Alabama historically (at least in the past 10, 15 years or so) does typically play in the neutral site "kick off" games. I understand why they're played, but I generally hate those. They're too stale, corporate and lack the great atmospheres and traditions that college football provides. Thankfully, LSU has had a healthy mix, but with more of an emphasis on a true home and home. The only neutral site game that LSU was in that I enjoyed (despite the outcome) was Wisconsin in Lambeau -- I would have still rather played them in Madison, however.

I'm not sure how you utilize the tight end within the scheme but I'm sure they can find a way.
i was looking at some playbooks online and there is very little in-line TE usage but some H back formations but like zero multi TE formations
The base personnel is 2 backs, 3 WR

IIRC, they like to use an unbalanced OL so maybe it's something you can take further using TE to bring up safeties or pull LBs into the box on those stretch runs.
