Btw I don’t GAS if ND puts up 60 points today Parker is gone! He can make that his audition game for a gig at a lower tier college. Pay him out and sack his ass.

Too harsh? Guy ruined this what could have been season.
Yup. Championship level defense, and some decent offensive talent fucking squandered this season because they took an inexperienced and unqualified guy for the job.

What about Josh Gattis from Maryland as the next man in?

I already like what Maryland has done on 1 drive against Meatchicken

Broyles award winner and all…

I mentioned this a while ago and was told i was an idiot, haha. I agree 100%. Considering the talent disparity that Maryland has essentially every week, they aren'y bad.

Not saying ND shouldn’t move on from Parker but ND isn’t winning a playoff game let alone a championship with this receiver corp and o line.

You guys realize Maryland is like 40 spots behind us in pts/game and 15 spots in yds/game? A lot of recency bias on IE.

Check this out; Rick Nueheisal when discussing replacement coaches for Texas A&M suggested “what about Marcus Freeman?” The old black guy with the Santa beard said he’s a great recruiter but need to go from winning the press conference to winning on the field. Do these guys (Rick H) do any real homework before making a stupid ass suggestion like that? When you look at Freeman’s resume it’s maybe only slightly better than Parker’s. He had two pretty good seasons at Cincy as DC under Fickel and one slightly better than average at ND. He had good HC’s which made those teams better. Golden is better than Marcus at DC. I have rarely seen a less proven candidate for HC especially at ND. If he took that job we would probably upgrade in every sense except recruiting and charisma. I will take a great coach (Brohm) over someone who the jury is very much still out on.

Yeah fickel was the brains behind the Cincy D and when freeman had his shot to own the D, he crapped bed first two games at ND and Kelly had to step in and force him to change his scheme that freeman developed for 9 months … he’s not a good Xs and Os coach but I hope he can be a great CEO

SIAP; Gino called the plays today, confirmed?
I don’t know if he called the plays, I actually missed the game was busy coaching a lacrosse showcase. But Gino took over coordinating the passing game after the Clemson game. My understanding is that everything is his design now, and basically he was tasked with scheming guys open + using more play action. Not sure how much a collaboration it is or isn’t.

Gino/Porker CO-OC ? A little raise for one and save face for the other?

I could get behind that... should things go well the rest of the way.

IF they are going to go that route, I still would feel way better if they brought some kind of experienced Analyst in to help this duo out.
