RIP Bull
Didn't realize most of the Night Court cast has now passed.

Wow! I didn't know he was just 54, I figured he was a bit older. Favorite roll isn't from a movie or tv show, but a video game. He played Benny in Fallout: New Vegas. Apparently he was a big fan. Got to wonder if substance abuse contributed here, he struggled with it quite a bit in his life.Matthew Perry. Apparently drowned in his jacuzzi
I don't think any cause of death has been determined yet by the medical examiner. An autopsy has been completed, but they're waiting on toxicology and probably some other results. Cardiac arrest seems likely, but drowning was initially reported because they found him in a hot tub.So Matthew Perry actually died of cardiac arrest in his hot tub. Weird they ran with drowning..
Local law enforcement let it slip and wasn't supposed to. It's been retracted.I don't think any cause of death has been determined yet by the medical examiner. Now being reported no alcohol or drugs were involved.Local law enforcement let it slip and wasn't supposed to. It's been retracted.
I grew up watching Night Court. Funny show.
I have always associated Matthew Perry with being the SNL host when Oasis was musical guest in 1997. I didn't watch Friends, but ultimately I found MP to be comedically talented from that point from what I saw.
Just made the mistake of seeing the video of it happening. Feel absolutely gutted for his family. Sending prayers out to his family.Anyone see the former NHL hockey player, Adam Johnson, die from his neck being slashed in a EIHL game? Wild stuff.
It did look very strange……maybe he lost his balance because I can’t see any reason he would have purposely and suddenly kicked up his leg to try and hit Johnson. It looked like a martial arts move. Imagine seeing Michael Jordan driving down the court and all of a sudden a defender runs over to him and gives him a spinning reverse roundhouse kick to the head. That would defy explanation IMO. Hopefully that defender will give some sort of a statement as to what occurred in that awful incident. The hockey death is hard to interpret. Obviously, the guy wasn't trying to kill anyone, but it sure looks like he intentionally swung his left leg up and at the guy who died. I can't be positive it wasn't just getting tangled up with the other player and it being accidental, but it looks like his intent was to kick the other guy in the upper body. If so, doing that with skates on seems criminal... probably justifying a manslaughter charge. Maybe those more knowledgeable about hockey than I am (pretty much everyone) can enlighten us on whether that leg coming up like that was intentional or just a typical reaction to getting tangled up with another skater.
Definitely not a normal hockey related move. After the skate makes contact, he whips his leg even more and higher. It did look very strange……maybe he lost his balance because I can’t see any reason he would have purposely and suddenly kicked up his leg to try and hit Johnson. So it begins.
The first of my sitcom cannon guys to pass. RIP Chandler Bing.

I certainly don't have a definitive answer to what happened to him, but as you say, years of drug and alcohol abuse can and often does do a number on you. I'm just speculating, but my guess is given his history and his health issues related to that history (remember, he came REALLY close to death a few years ago from a ruptured colon directly related to his drug abuse), cardiac arrest due to heart damage from the drugs seems likely. He seemed like a genuinely good guy who just struggled mightily over the years with addiction. Supposedly he'd been clean for a year or so, but who knows. My bet is on heart disease caused by the drug use.The years of drug and alcohol abuse sure did a number on him. Very sad all around. His death doesn't seem normal either. Guess we will know more when the toxicology report is released.
Looked intentional (not to harm him) to me, like he was trying to slow Johnson from coming around and getting in position to receive a pass. Sad and tragic regardless.Definitely not a normal hockey related move. After the skate makes contact, he whips his leg even more and higher.
I don’t think he was trying to kill the guy. I think he was trying to be billy-badass enforcer guy and thought he’d knock the guy down to take him out of the play. It’s super tragic, and easily the most horrific sports related thing I have ever witnessed (Theismann, various auto racing crashes, Hamlin… none of that compares…)I’m sure the uk police are looking into any present or past motives between the two players. Just sad
He intentionally swung his skate across the face of another player. Or do people see wiggle room on it being intentional? To me it was clear he was trying to take out his head with a freaking skate.I don’t think he was trying to kill the guy. So you think he woke up that morning and said “I’m going to murder Adam today, and the best way to do it is to swing my leg up at some point during this game and get him just right across the neck.” You think that? I just want to confirm. He intentionally swung his skate across the face of another player. Or do people see wiggle room on it being intentional? No, but a drunk driver also doesn't write out a hit list before his first beer either. We're talking about an athlete fully swinging his skate (blade) at someone's face with force. I doubt it was accidental and my immediate thought is that this is manslaughter (although perpetrator is part of the protected class so who knows). So you think he woke up that morning and said “I’m going to murder Adam today, and the best way to do it is to swing my leg up at some point during this game and get him just right across the neck.” You think that?
