  • Round 1
  • Round 1 (from CAR)
  • Round 2
  • Round 3
  • Round 4
  • Round 4 (from PHI)
  • Round 5
This was prior to the Claypool trade.

If they go Harrison first and Fashanu second I'd be fine with that, but I still think someone is going to want to go all out for Caleb and they can trade out of the top pick if they have it to get more draft capital.

I have yet to see any scouts, mock drafts, etc. that don't have Fashanu as the top tackle in the 2024 draft. A lot of time until then and maybe Alt ends up going before him, but right now all signs point to Fashanu being the guy.

The OL is actually serviceable when it is healthy and has all 5 starters. Finally getting 76 back helps, 58 is progressing as a rookie, and getsy finally started chipping the last 2 games. the d is much more the liability right now then the O.

When does Carolina’s 2nd round kick in? 2025?

Caleb Williams sucked on Saturday night. Fields leaves the game injured. QB2 leads a drive down field for a TD.

Bears Twitter was lively yesterday.

Honestly, way too many Bears fans happy that Williams looked bad and Fields got injured. Was I surprised? No. Disappointed? For sure.

And now Fields might be out for a long time with that thumb injury.
Which makes him more difficult to further evaluate.

I don't give a shit who they have at QB1, they need to build an offensive line for that person. Cody Whitehair at center should be over with. Fields has faults, and makes mistakes a third year NFL QB should not make, but they need to put an OL in front of him that's worthy of protecting any franchise QB. Even if Fields is not that, at least put something in front of him that's going to work because what they have now is average at best and might not even be that.

I'm not sold Williams will be an elite NFL QB. I thought that before Saturday, though his performance didn't help.

He could be a HOFer for all I know but I think he'll struggle bc his athleticism will be neutralized.

He's got an arm, for sure. Don't know much about his work ethic or intangibles but that's going to be the difference in his career. If he's the type of guy that'll immerse himself into the game, watch film incessantly and do anything to win, I'd take a shot. If he's not he'll be another athletically gifted Lincoln Riley QB who can't meet expectations.

They got incredibly unlucky with injury luck in the preseason. By week 1 or 2 of the season practically 4/5 of the OL was playing hurt or was a backup. It's no surprise at all that the OL's best game by far was against Washington when everyone (minus Braxton Jones) was finally back and healthy.

I believe they were at full strength yesterday. I Know the secondary was.

It's just not very good.

Would you want the Bears to trade that pick and get a different quarterback?

Or would you prefer continued investment into Justin Fields's future?

I think we agree that under either of those scenarios they have to improve the OL.

Bears currently hold the #1 and #2 picks and now Fields is almost certainly heading to the short-term IR. I want Fields to be good but the writing is on the wall for another reset.

Was at the OSU game last week and was at this game yesterday... I'm done going to football games this year
To add more salt to this past post, I got a last second invite to the game yesterday. It's laughable at this point.

New coaching staff. Especially OC.

Draft Fashanu and Harrison Jr.

This is why they shouldn't give up on fields until they can get a offensive line that gives a guy more than a second or 2 to scan the field and get rid of the ball. Fields played pretty good in the last 2 games when he was given some time and the online actually blocked the dline, not each other. I don't care what qb you put back there, it's gonna be the same shit until the line is addressed

Agreed. Keep building around him and find a coaching staff. This ain't it.

Bagent coming in and immediately making the mental plays that have evaded Fields is not a great sign for JF1's future in Chicago. However, it's way too early to say that his time is done. Let Fields come back in a couple weeks and prove on the gridiron if he has what it takes to lead a competent passing offense. I'm pessimistic on his ability to do so, but he'll have plenty of opportunities to prove me wrong

The plays they ran for him, are what they keep refusing to run for Fields. It is mind blowing. Great to see a commitment to the run for a change too. Actually moving the OL starting alignment up made sense too. Jenkins is by far the best OL on the team, and Wright is right behind him. Nice getting #6 back, and seeing 33 and 49 make their first turnovers in a long long time. Do not trade 33.

this was being pointed out quite a bit yesterday and even this morning among the pundits. Everyone is kind of sitting around and asking "WTF" in this regard.
