Parker in his PC this week talks about how he really wants to use PA more, but we got into a throw it mode when we fell behind vs louisville. We were up, it was tied, we were down, but it was always within a one score game until 4 minutes into the fourth. We had 9 possessions and 47 plays before it became a 2 possession game. We hardly ran any PA in those 47 plays while they were loading the box to stop the run.
First play offensively of second half after louisville fumble, this is the play parker and staff drew up in the halftime break as the great play to run. 14 personnel (Yes 4 TEs). We were on left hash and overloaded the left side with 3 of the 4 TEs, so louisville overloaded that side as well. We run a slow frichan pitch to the overloaded boundary side with estime. Fisher RT has no chance to pull and get to the MLB, plus Staes gets whipped, evans misses his block. There was almost no chance of that play working against all 11 louisville had in the box. WTF are we doing. Loss of 5 is what we are doing on a run play. The crazy part is, louisville over played the run so bad, if estime is patient and cuts back, he probably has a house call. But again, that's what parker is calling, plays where if all 9 blockers and our RB execute it perfectly we take it to the house, one mistake no gain, multiple mistakes we lose yards.
