great pick up for ND but as highly ranked as this kid is why does he play RT on his high school team and not LT. is ND recruiting him to play LT or RT?

Hopefully that's for 2025 and it's fisher in 24. Fisher has played good this year but he's had too many BAD moments on film to probably warrant coming back and improving strength/size/consistency

He can definitely play LT in college. He has played some LT over the last few years and I figured they'd move him to LT this year since last year's LT is now at Cornell. Not sure why they didn't move him over, but his HC is the best HS coach in Massachusetts history so I'll defer to him. What's interesting is their 2nd best lineman, who chose Harvard over some FBS schools, also plays on the right side (RG).

If they are a run first team, it would make sense to play him at RT. A lot of teams run to their right, so have your dudes there makes sense

I thought they'd be more of a run team this year since their QB and skill guys are all new and are pretty much all underclassmen but they threw the ball 20+ times in just 2.5-3 quarters in their first game. The score got out of hand so they pulled their starters. They played a team from Florida last week so I'm not sure how much they ran the ball but their RB who has a BC offer may have suffered a season-ending injury so I'm not sure how that will impact their play-calling going forward.

-He's an outstanding young man and will be a great representative for Notre Dame on and off the field.

If there were 5 more young men like Guerby who were top 50 recruits in this class we'd probably get all of them.

The path to a Natty for Freeman might not be 5 top 50 recruits like this. But, 10-15 top 200 recruits, every cycle, like this. And, they are out there. Just have to have a better success rate on landing them than BK did.

AND, a stud QB. It's well documented how a QB peaked really their first season starting under kelly, then regressed. That can't happen.

Fair points 88. But since a silent is speculative at best, it’s a waste to speculate whether a silent is legit or not. In this case there may have been a silent given earlier since he has now verbally committed. But many Solent’s don’t verbal. It’s all speculation on supposed communications between staff and a teenage athlete. In general, good luck with that.

If Fisher wants to go pro in '24, this is the week to prove he's ready.

If he dominates, then he's got some film to state his case and bolster his draft stock. If it's more of the same, he ain't ready.

This week they broke down why, & I’m getting on board.
One thing Driskell said, was that a source at ND told him the length of Lambert’s arms & he doesn’t want to repeat it because he can’t verify it, but it was a ridiculous length if true.
That was one of the reasons he compares him to Stanley.

Ronnie Stanley has arm length in the 92nd percentile. Hands are on 85th percentile. That’s pretty good for NFL OTs. Lol

Good article on Guerby from one of the local papers: Catholic Memorial football star Guerby Lambert makes the grade

For Lambert, the recruiting process was difficult, because he had so many good choices. In the end, he picked Notre Dame. “It’s going to challenge me academically,” Lambert said. “It’s going to set me up for the next 40 years, but also it’s going to challenge me on the football field, as well.”
