So a commitment isnt likely... but it'll be wrapped up this weekend? How does that work? It didnt make sense when Loy said it... and still doesnt make sense now that Singer is repeating it.

Unless he is going to commit silently, which isnt actually a commitment (See Lambert, Guerby)
Don't say that on this Board....LOL

his game against week 1 game rancho cucamunga looked rough, 2 ints in a loss. Ceiling is definitely a top college QB but like Buchner he’s going to need to sit for a year or 2.

If you’re going to take a kid like this, the year after CJ Carr is the time to do it.
Rancho is a really good program. They’ve produced a ton of FBS and FCS players the last couple years.

Reminds me of Baker Mayfield. Lighting quick release, which is probably most underrated attribute of who turns out to be elite as a QB.

His release is really quick, a little bit concerned about height, built like a FB honestly.

Seems accurate, but worried about arm strength / moving through progressions. Definitely an odd build for a QB.

He looks taller than 6'1" to me in the video. Yeah release is very quick and seem to throw lasers. Intriguing qb clearly with some tools. Interested to see if he's Irish soon for all thing considered.

In his defense, it's very to tough to compare a 5-10 minute year long highlight tape with full games.

Don't feel great after watching that film, but I'm no QB guru. I do get Buchner release vibes. Made a couple nice off-platform throws and I think his arm strength is sufficient. Not sure I see the accuracy others are citing. I wouldn't hate a guy like this as a depth piece between Carr and a stud '26 guy, but I'm not sure this is the calibre of QB ND needs to be elite. Then again, in the portal era, does any of this even matter?

If we take him over Duece I’ll have serious questions. There are better options we could pursue instead of this guy

Duece isn’t going to ND I don’t think.
He just keeps extending his recruitment as if he just doesn’t want to go to ND.
At first, he literally said Tennessee & ND were his top 2. Said he loved both & would make a decision over the summer.
Then Tennessee backed off. So instead of sticking to his timeline, he then said his top 3 were Tennessee, ND & Ole Miss.
Then said he would not be deciding until after visits, but before his season started. He went to ND & Ole Miss. Then instead of deciding, he then says he wants to see teams play this fall & will decide after that.
So he keeps changing his decision process when ND is the best option.
He wants to stay south. He tried transferring to Lipscomb in Tennessee and got homesick. That was too far north for him.
I think ND realizes it’s not going to happen & if Bear wants to commit they will take him.

I have no choice but to trust this staff’s QB evaluations over Rees’. It couldn’t get much worse with him.
