With training camp right around the corner, figured we'd get a thread going for the upcoming NFL season.

Some teams have rookies showing up today for rookie camp, with all veterans and full camps beginning next week, on or before July 25.

HOF Game is creeping up, set for Thursday, August 3.

You know what the NFL preseason means: CFB is right around the corner. It's almost that time of year, gents.

Pittsburgh O8.5 wins is free as hell. The roster improved greatly in the offseason and the schedule is cake compared to last year.

The expectations for my Colts is very low this year with Richardson at QB. I wonder what the over/under is for the number of times he runs before he gets injured?

6.5 total wins seems like an under take for the Colts, no?

I have low expectations for my Pack. I think they'll get better as the season goes on, but I think the formula for defending them will be pretty straight forward in September/October: Focus on stopping Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, and dare Jordan Love to beat you. They're just too damn young in the passing game to make any noise this year, IMO. Hope I'm dead wrong come December/January, but I really don't believe I will be.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Lions are poised to win the NFC North. What universe is this?

Vikings have the first place schedule, Lions do not.

The Lions being eliminated from the playoffs on the last day and still playing spoiler by beating the Packers left a major impression on people. I think the Vikings have the quality, but the schedule is going to be really brutal.

I’m excited to see what happens if Joe Burrow FINALLY gets through an entire training camp without incident.

Year 1: Covid
Year 2: ACL Recovery
Year 3: Appendix

It would be awesome to see Burrow hit the ground running for once.

Either way, though…

The AFC North + 1st Place schedule is going to be a gauntlet. Not sure I feel good about the AFC Champion/Joe Burrow MVP betting stories that are popular lately. I hope the time is now, because it’s not going to get much better in terms of skill depth than Mixon + Chase + Higgins + Boyd. But it’s going to be tough.

The Ravens get Lamar back, and should be improved on offense overall.

The Steelers got better on both sides and I think Pickett is going to be quality or better with more time.

The Browns have Deshaun (disgusting) who I’m sure will finally knock some rust off.

Gonna be a fun division this year full of frustration and complaining about poorly timed officiating I’m sure!

Hope that Tua can play a full season. Tall task, I know, but one can hope.

That and they were extremely lucky last year according to advanced stats.

I'm not sure what to make of the RB's not being happy about their pay. The play has moved away from the RB (outside of QB) being the base of the offense. LB's, guards, DT's and safeties are in the same boat as far as premium pay.

I call these the dog days of summer; football season feels like it's right around the corner, but I feel like the days get longer the closer we get.

Afc north is crazy,… any of the four teams could represent the AFC in the Super Bowl if all go right for that given team,… and all four could completely miss the playoffs on the division strength alone. At least one good team is missing the playoffs there

I think Cincinnati is still the only legitimate Super Bowl team in the North. Pittsburgh is still too young, Cleveland is Cleveland, and Baltimore way overpaid for a run first QB with knee problems.

So, I really haven't been optimistic about the Cowboys in a couple/few off-season's. Sadly, I'm doing it now and very aware the regret I'll have for doing so.

The Cowboys have a lot of good things going for them. Dak is pretty inconsistent but when he's on, he's pretty darn good. Pollard being the top RB is a huge upgrade now that washed up Elliott isn't stealing carries. Loved the Deuce Vaughn draft pick and if Ronald Jones can come back healthy, there's plenty of depth behind him. Then you went out and traded for Brandin Cooks to spell Gallop and Lamb. Stacked offense, when Dak stays out of his own way.

The defense cooled down a bit down the stretch last year but I think you have the recipe for dominance: stout secondary and pass rush.

I have no love for the Cowboys, but you have a lot of reason for optimism.

Yea, Dak is a turd. He's the primary reason why I am confident I'll eventually be let down.

I think the biggest cause for concern for Dallas is that McCarthy is gonna be calling the plays.

To play devil’s advocate: wouldn’t a guy signing a 6 year contract understand that at some point the market is probably gonna pass his value up? He gets job security instead.

Martin is a stud though.

Sounds somewhat similar to the Notre Dame experience… even when all the stars seem to be aligning, you know something dumb and/or heartbreaking is bound to happen 😂
