Athletic Director Derrick Gragg got there in July 2021. University President Michael Schill got there in September 2022.

Not sure what they may have come to know in that period of time about this, but Fitzgerald was hired in 2006. I think the concern and accountability lies with the people on that campus who are current leaders there.

Every head coach everywhere needs to self audit immediately if they have not already, especially any guys newer to the job. You cannot have this kind of stuff in your program. Now or ever.

It's a real shame that a mediocre career can be totally upended because of one disgruntled player... and an internal investigation by a law firm that assembled a written report... and multiple other disgruntled players... and some photos detailing the open abuse. What happened to the sport I love?

But for real the "one disgruntled player" thing is so played out as an excuse to discredit victims. Every person in power has many, many disgruntled underlings who would love to take them down. Yet we generally only see major controversys about people who turn out to be dickbags. What a coincidence.
