He has 3 years of eligibility left (including this year).
He has a chance to start this year, so he could end up a 3 year starter at ND.

I love what the staff is doing on the defensive side of the ball. We need to Land another safety and a DLineman, I don’t think we get KVA but if we do I will be a happy camper.

That would be great. Waiting for him to be done cooking. I have just heard from different reporters that he wasn’t the player they thought he was. That is where my doubt was coming from. Hopefully he wins a spot.

I also noted that in that recent ND workout video they put out, Schrauth looked F'ing huge. It really feels like between Kristofic (former highly recruited prospect in his own right), Spinlder, and Schrauth. We should be able to develop 2 high level starters. Coach Rudolph on deck.

Always the possibility they create a rotation at guard, similar to what they did at RT in 2017 with Hainsey and Kraemer.

I'm hoping that it's Schrauth and Spindler. No disrespect to Kristofic, but I want the young guys to beat him out. Those guys not only have higher ceilings and are generally bigger players (Kristofic is probably maxed at 6'5 305, while Schrauth and Spindler can play at 310-320), but that helps with continuity moving past 2023 into 2024, which we're gonna need with Alt and possibly Fisher moving on after this year.

Much of what I’ve heard about Spindler has been from Prister. He was extremely down on him - has said he doesn’t think he will ever see meaningful minutes at Notre Dame. Prister had him as his top recruit of his class I believe too

Most of the beat has been down on him for a while now.

If it's true that he's gotten right in the head and physically trimmed down, that's very promising. His potential didn't magically disappear.

Totally agree. I feel like the beat has been incredibly hard on him. He’s only a junior

He has admitted that Spindler has got better & is hearing great things about him.
Now thinks Spindler could legitimately challenge for a starting spot.

He has probably unfairly judged next to Fisher and Alt who were both 100% ready to go Alt unexpectantly.
