The freeman is so cool wore off last august. Need to actually show development and coaching ability this year. Since last august we’ve landed more 3 stars than 4/5 stars, and that’s no including the decommits from 23 class.

I do think we’ll show development and have a great year, and we can gain momentum.

we’re recruiting like Ty right now. Yes I think we have a solid class but it will finish Butcloser to 23 than a top 5 class that we need.

Lambert, rushing, Scott, kva, Johnson, Nelson … land 5 of them and prove me wrong!

So when do we start seeing for safety offers going out and the board expanding not sure why we told two guys no thanks anymore
Ziglar visits this weekend. So, one more weekend to see what happens. If after this weekend, they do not have a commitment from a S other than Tae. Well, then maybe a little roasting is in order

Big swing and a miss.

ND needs to close on some of those guys you mentioned, though the list is far bigger than just those names.

But to say we're recruiting like Ty is a painfully dubious claim, at best.

Recruiting like Ty…

Your pessimism mixed with some brief optimism, call it healthy realism, almost had me until you put up that dumb ass take. Surely you are being a bit hyperbolic, but Freeman’s recruiting compared to Ty’s is leagues ahead. Freeman is even being doing better than Kelly.

Is it enough right now to have ND competing consistently for NCs? No. But, given the context of everything, the fact that he went 9-4 in his first season with two bad losses, and still have a likely Top 10 finish in the 2024 class is quite the success.

Recruiting will not be a short-term fix. ND is not as fortunate as a few other programs that can hang their hat on “acquisition fees” or CFB playoff and NC dominance the last five or so seasons. A better product on the field with each passing season, will pay dividends with each new recruiting class.

It took Kirby Smart about three or four years to really build the dynasty that he has Georgia at now. Why would Freeman be any different?

To clarify, early Ty recruiting, not his last 2 years.

Freeman’s awesome recruiting looks awesome due to his first 9 months on the job, not his last nine. I think the stats in the star ratings show that. Blame it on nil, or our season last year, or admissions. I want to think showing great development and winning big would get us back to elite recruiting, so I have hope.

So what is the realistic options going forward? We have 19 commits and this class should be around 30? Who has egibility left after this year?
Does Correll and Kristofic have another year after this year? Who on the DL has egibility left?

That's a lot of questions. I don't know. But I do know that it's six months until Early Signing Day and I'd bet you all the vbucks there will be at least five guys in our class who do not currently have profiles on this website. Happens every year.

Normally that’s due to deflections or not getting who we want. Hope those 5 profiles are elite.

So June has been Uber disappointing so far
ND, in the past, gets commitments in July, like last year they did 4-5 in a row from July 1st through 4th.
Kids like to announce that holiday weekend.
As for June itself, ND got Prescod, an OT they badly needed, Tae Johnson, a Safety they badly needed, Kedren Young, one of the best RBs in the country, and Sean Sevillano, a 300+ lbs NG the ND staff wanted.
That’s not bad, and it’s only June 13th.

If your pants are poopy over what you didn't get instead of what you got, then yeah, I guess it has been.

This. What he says. Right here.

I hope July gives us a Lyft.

On Defense? It’s pretty accurate. 1 top 250 player, at least 6 3*, but likely more and they missed on every single high ranking prospect? That’s Willingham levels of shitty.

They needed Lambert badly, not Prescod. Johnson & Young are legit. Sevillano has no fuckin clue how to play football.

From a national point of view, is the 2024 safety class considered to be a strong one overall?

Relative to the last few classes, I think it's about consistent, though UGA is hording them with 4 of the top 6.

I just noticed that Koy Beasley has really blown up at safety in the last few months and he attends LaSalle in Cincinnati. He's Fong'd to Pitt. Would be nice to flip one from them in the Fall if ND still needs one.

I wonder if he has issues with his grades. No NW or even a Vandy offer.

I certainly noticed this.

Unusual and frustrating situation thus far as has been noted...and noted....but I'm not quite ready to panic just yet.
