Puts things into perspective - Think we’ll need a 11+ win season to really catapult us to the next tier of a top 5 class.

Yuge.

To those who aren’t as graph-inclined: the 2022-2024 cluster being highly concentrated in the top-right implies not only that our average recruit is of a higher quality (y-axis), but also that we are now taking more high quality recruits (x-axis).

2013 was special. Let’s get back there lol.

And it would've had 2 more NFL players if Vanderdoes didn't flip after NSD and if Anzalone didn't flip at the last minute.

Ironic reading this comment as Freeman is speaking to keeping recruits committed in his presser right now - this is spot on.

Few-to-zero surprises at the end is how you assemble and maintain classes in the top-right quadrant. Especially when other schools start coming for the top-tier recruits. Sounds like we made an active effort to keep kids committed.

I wish they broke it down by offense and defense as well. Anyone who seriously looks at the numbers and not just an overall class ranking, can see ND has made big strides in consistently building the roster.

Now complement them with the top developoment and coaching and the 12 team playoff should be a lot of fun!

Kevyn Humes is reclassifying and taking his OV to ND in January per Loy. 4 star corner, would be a nice addition

This is the first kid i recall nd staying in on after reclassifying. Typically academics stop those recruitments.
Will be interesting to follow.

He’s still got a semester and a summer to fulfill any requirements ND might have. That is if it’s possible to do and he’s so inclined.

I have no idea about St.Frances’ academic prowess, but at my Catholic high school, virtually everyone would have qualified after their junior year. The catch would have been doubling up on English classes and adding the state required classes from senior year (Econ and Gov’t.)

Was that the same year as the Tee and Greenberry last minute flips too? Mackensie Alexander was right around there too.

They were the 2012 class, but remember Tee was enrolled for a bit before Fresno struck

Damn yesterday was national signing day. Used to be a huge day for me and exciting seeing which letters rolled in.

Haha, it used to be like Christmas!

I still think we were one more space eating nose tackle away from a complete '24 class. Thought Ogboko was that guy if the good guys had been able to steal him from the dawgs.

Hoping we can get one in '25.

I know we mentioned him here but I didn't realize ND was the offer he was waiting for. If I remember correctly he and Leonard Moore camped with Mickens for a scholarship and Moore got it. He had the perfect ND offer list.

In the portal era he's a guy you put an airtag on.

I did this for the '23 class (juniors), and was asked to do for the '24 class (soph). All of these are projections (last season + camp vibes) for this yea only:

Hits (projected starter/good contributor):
QB - CJ Carr
RB - Aneyas Williams
OL - Guerby Lambert, Anthony Knapp
DL - Bryce Young
LB - Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa
CB - LEONARD MOORE
S - Tae Johnson

Hits (projected solid/competitive):
RB - Kedren Young
WR - Micah Gilbert
S - Karson Hobbs

Other:
WR - Cam Williams, Logan Saldate
TE - Jack Larsen
OL - Peter Jones, Styles Prescod
DL - Loghan Thomas, Sean Sevillano, Cole Mullins
LB - Bodie Kahoun, Teddy Rezac, Kennedy Urlacher (transfer)
S - Taebron Bennie-Powell

23 total recruits
- 11 total hits (6 on off. & 5 on def.)
- 8 starter-quality players
- 22 of the 23 still on the team (1 transfer - K. Urlacher)

From Soph ('24) and Junior ('23) Classes:
46 total recruits (47 with J. Faison)
- 23 total hits (13 on off. & 10 on def.)
- 17 starter-quality players
- 41 of the 46 still on the team

Pretty solid - 50% of recruits from Freeman's first two full recruiting classes being solid contributers, at the very least
