This doesn’t phase me much because I never really believed the hype anyways. I think that was just crootin fodder to increase the stakes.

I love our DL class. I’d wait for the season and see if there is someone worth pushing for later.

Wow...this is fun to read. Some articles come out with virtually no info and half the board is on suicide watch! lol

Literally nobody is on suicide watch.

And it’s pretty clear now that Nd themselves doesn’t feel good about it.

Wow this was just a terrible read by the "experts" for us to be leading going into the visit and not immediately going out of it. Sorry to me that's just bad reporting and/or bad sources.
I don't think any expert was saying we led.

Most of what I read was that ND was in a good spot, but the general sentiment was nobody was betting against the field.

ND better hope we land Justin Scott because there’s no reason why we dropped other DL/DE recruits. Owen Wafle and basically telling Williams we aren’t interested anymore you bring in and recruit every and tell those guys whoever wants in hop on. And continue to recruit the big fish. You don’t put your eggs in 1-2 baskets we’ve all seen how that worked out last cycle QB recruiting

Those guys don’t play the same position on the DL.
Wafle has nothing to do with Scott. Williams has nothing to do with Rushing.

Williams is a Vyper, and ND has 2 in fold already. For me, I'm all about take 'em all, but I see the logic there.

I'm still kind of perplexed at letting Wafle go. Yeah, you may get Scott, but you also may not get him. Now you're relying on Young getting big enough to play 3T, but then you have to rob Peter to pay Paul.

I wouldn't compare it to QB recruiting. You can't play more than 1 QB barring injury or select packages, you can absolutely play several DL.

Apologies for my bad inference.
All the talk of sources had me wondering - would be hard to run a business based on sources while being ostracized by the team your product is providing and obviously with change in regime things can change.

Yes they were. AZ guys were. There's a new way to look at leading, there's leading through Soph/Jr seasons and unofficials and then there's leading after an OV when the NIL packages are presented.

But as I've said from the git, the field was always the play.

Arizona will be an important recruiting state now and for the foreseeable future. Population movement and improved competition and what not. We can not afford to ignore it

Most AZ recruits have Midwest connections cuz that's where we're all from.

Here are a few more to keep an eye on:

I don't track the AZ guys, so I'll take your word for it.

But what I've read from the ND beat has been about par for the course. ND was a player for Rushing, but nobody was willing to stick their neck out and say they lead.
