I’m not optimistic, but IF he goes through the summer uncommitted and ND gets an OV for the OSU game, they’re all of a sudden in the likely driver’s seat again.

I wish this kid went to a Kansas City public school so I didn't have to read every Chicago Catholic guy who's convinced he's signing with ND.

I saw this show last year starring Anthony Lucas and I stopped watching it 2/3's into the season and he goes to school 2 miles down the road from me..

I'm going to invent the Anti-CB so I can throw it at him and hit em square in his Carmel Macchioto slingin' azz.

According to Loy - Officials set for Georgia and OSU in June. ND trying to get and official for OSU game. He’ll also probably official to Miami.
This is painting the article in a more negative light than I read it in. But between Loy's words are always going to lean more positive to keep his subscribers happy

Whatever. This should already be Irish. A St Ignatius 5 Star DL prospect is an ND wet dream that needs to be Irish. If any kid shouldn’t go NIL trolling and knows the value in the ND it’s Scott.

If MF doesn’t close this kid, this is a big recruiting loss.

Ask his shift supervisor at Starbucks if he can get the weekend off

His specific Starbucks location has a “No PTO for Notre Dame visits” policy. I don’t know why it exists or how long it’s existed, but I don’t make the rules.

What good ND players have ever come out of that school?

Not sure what more could have been done other than the obvious of throwing gobs of money at him.

Good rationalization. Only so many students go from ST Ignatius to ND...... But it appears this staff can't convince him the value of an ND degree and being Irish.

The most unfairly maligned assistant coach of the BK era.
Probably our best recruiter at the position
Might as well have been 30 years ago. We're in an entirely new era now. The narrative, for some, is going to center on Al Washington being a weak link of some sort. Notre Dame Football is choosing to do their business a certain way in a time of unprecedented change in the sport. If he's really the issue, you'd better replace him with someone who is really damn good knowing what we all know about how everyone else is conducting recruiting and NIL business versus how Notre Dame is doing it.

Did Gilmore coach again after ND? He and Scott Booker were the sacrificial lambs after the 4-8 season. Elston moved to DL coach, Elko came in and brought Lea with him. The trajectory of the program changed for the better. It was BK's first, and only, self audit while he was at ND. That Van Gorder hire nearly destroyed his tenure at ND. I really think Gilmore's worst mistake was that he was part of the BK GVSU Rolodex and it was more of a "it's not you, it's me" dismissal. Longo got moved out and into an "administrative position". Hell, BK gave Booker his first shot and there was some sentiment there too. It had to be done.

Elko wanted his guy (Lea), Kelly wanted his guy (Elston), so Gilmore was the odd man out. I can't find him coaching anywhere right now. I was impressed with his results while he was at Illinois. He took some unheralded guys and made them into NFL draft picks.
