There’s a lot of talk we’re getting a commitment this weekend, might be Carter. This is in addition to Teddy R

Give the kid some coffee cabinets, Autocrat coffee syrup, Olneyville NY System wieners, and some Dell’s lemonade and he’s a lock. Rhode Islanders will know what I’m talking about.
Throw in an Awful Awful, a Federal Hill pizza from Casertas and clam chowder from the Black Pearl in Newport.
Done deal . . .

PS--my uncle was in charge of production at Autocrat many moons ago.

ND great End Jack Zilly was the Head Football Coach at Rhode Island U from 1963 through 1969...

Zilly was a starting end at ND on both the 1943 and 1946 Irish National Champs....playing for the LA Rams after graduation, Zilly also performed in 5 Hollywood movies during his playing days in LA -the 2 best were 12 O'Clock High (w Gregory Peck) & I was a Male War Bride (w Cary Grant).

Later an assistant coach at ND before becoming a HC coach at Rhode Island......Jack's son John Zilly (who played at Bishop Hendricksen(sp) in RI) was a member of Ara's 1967 ND recruiting class.

This could be huge not just for this year but for next year also.

If he’s good he won’t be playing college ball next year

I don’t know if 1 year of balling out will get him drafted. Hopefully 2 years can get him in day 1 or 2

Huge you will have Carter and Xavier Watts locking down safety for the next two years. Is DJ brown back this year?

Massive pickup for the team

Also a massive pickup for the beat, who can now replace “ND didn’t get Nick McCloud until May” with a newer reference.

From ISD:
Carter was set to leave Notre Dame on Friday and head straight to Baton Rouge for his official visit, but that trip never happened despite LSU having a car service waiting outside The Gug.

After seeing Ole Miss, Wisconsin and Notre Dame, the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder informed Marcus Freeman he didn’t need to see more and a Notre Dame staffer called LSU and walked out to inform the car service that services were no longer needed.

Suck one, BK.
