I don’t care if people have anal sex. I was laughing at the absurdity of people running around naked having anal sex in public. It’s an extreme statement to poke fun at those who think there shouldn’t be any boundaries.

Our beliefs are much more closely aligned than you may realize.
I realize we aren’t that different. I believe none of us are really that different we’ve just let the dialogue between each other become more confrontational than uniting. (Not you and I specifically) and I se it’s harder and harder for individuals to have honest conversations without it degrading into insults and personal attacks which is what certain individuals want and thrive off of. And although I love a good joke, even politically incorrect ones, I also see how they can divide us, but to tell someone to relax it’s just a joke, when there are things that everyone of us at certain times would never find funny can divide us. Peace be with you and thank you for the open discussion.

So what? What does that prove? Weren't these the same societies that also believed in child labor, slavery, human sacrifice, or that their crops would only grow if they sacrificed a goat to the god of the harvest? That a few ancient cultures accepted anything is completely meaningless here.
Might as well throw in virgin births, people being swallowed by whales, burning bushes, sin exists because someone ate an apple or whatever, some dude turning water into wine, the end of the world is going to be a battle fought in the Middle East by beings from the sky and a bunch of dudes from some plane of eternal fire and brimstone and stone tablets with how to live a good life were delivered by some being from the sky while you’re at it.

I agree, those ancient cultures and their belief systems were pretty fucking gonzo.

Anyhow, always interesting when Christian’s accuse others of magical thinking and being “irrational”.

Tell us what biological, genetic, or other physical, measurable, scientific evidence would indicate there are more than two genders.
Clownfish can change gender from male to female. Seahorse males get pregnant and carry the children. I mean, this is pretty commonly known and would seem to indicate that gender isn’t as binary as your word salad tirade would indicate.

Some of the books lefties are upset about being pulled or banned had illustrations that could be described as porn. Regardless, if it is straight or homosexual in nature it shouldn't be easily accessible to kids. It should be up to the parents to teach their kids about this in the privacy of their home.
That sounds great in theory until you get some hyper religious homophobes raising a gay kid.

Books of this nature should be available to kids of an appropriate age. 2nd graders shouldn't be allowed to rent out coming of age material that involves depictions of sex. Obviously. But for a confused middle schooler might find that same book useful.

What cracks me up is the schools thinking they need to provide this crap when the internet is at everyone's fingertips. My 10 year old telling me yesterday about the kid next to him playing some games that involved bare bottom spanking of women and staring at boobs - on the school issued computer, in school. So cry me a fxcking river about the gay kid unable to access porn in book form from the school library.

It is hard enough to keep the porn and trash away from kids the way it is. Social media is littered with terrible content and algorithms push nasty shit in your kids face that will only dial it up to ten once they "like" one inappropriate post.

Can we stop normalizing degeneracy and telling kids that weird fetishes are to be celebrated in public? Be as weird and abnormal as you want - but you can't get upset when I call you a weirdo, ya fxcking weirdo.

A porn book shouldn’t be allowed in a school library. You don’t need the gay qualifier.

Lots of the books maga types want banned aren’t porn. They’re books that involve sex that no one would look at twice if the characters where straight.

Cool. So given that gender isn’t a fixed constant in the natural world why the outrage over this?

Seems like maybe it’s more about the sexualization of adolescents or minors?

I’d agree with that but all things considered id say that has more to do with unrestrained capitalism and wack job libertarian thinking than anything else.

Clownfish and Seahorses are quite the exception rather than the rule. Also neither are mammals. In fact, from what I'm seeing there's only three species where the males give birth and they're all fish: seahorses, pipefish, and sea dragons. There are no gender fluid or gender binary or any other make believe social constructs for other mammals. Those are just lies created to hide the truth from mentally ill individuals.

Race and ethnicity are a gazillion times more fluid than gender, especially now.

Please refer to me as a black Indian from now on.

That wasn't the question though.

This was the question. You just grabbed the goal posts and moved them.

Nevermind that it's kinda a trick question. Gender isn't really a biological term. It's a social/cultural term.

Moved the goal posts by stating fact? Nothing I said contradicts the original statement. There are two genders. It is biological, and it's fact. Gender is not a social construct, anyone that says otherwise goes against science and logic.

Ok. Race is a false construct so I find it weird that we continue to cling to that so we probably agree. I think the term “person of color” as a catch all in particular is pretty ridiculous. I do think there are specific ethnic groups and or individuals that have legitimate arguments for things such as reparations but that’s just my opinion. Anyhow, I think focusing on class would be a more productive conversation.

Considering we evolved from fish (if one believes in evolution) wouldn’t it make sense that some of that might be embedded in human DNA and presents given certain biological, environmental factors? I mean embryos are not male or female from the jump and certain environmental factors can influence whether it develops as one or the other. Also, some people are born intersex. Again, this issue is not as cut and dry as people are making it out to be in my opinion.

If one were to believe in evolution, you're assuming some of that fish code still resides in our DNA. What environmental factors dictate the sex of a mammal besides the sperm?

How often do people refer to you by your racial identity?

You’re right. Racial identity is typically a self identifier people use for their own personal victimhood. But… More than you might think. I just moved back to Indiana but was in NM for 10 years. While in NM we were very involved with programs designed to help those in high poverty areas and with migrant services and did the same with high poverty areas over 10 years ago in Indiana. My pigment was mentioned more than it should have as well as many other with the same pigment or lack thereof. I remember volunteering for a free lunch program in South Bend and it become an issue just me being involved. In 2012 we were a huge part of a project and told to come to be recognized for donating a large sum along with others. At the last minute they decided not yo recognize anyone because of the “optics”. I assume a bunch of white looking people being recognized for donating money for inner city projects might look bad. I can go on and on. But now I identify as black, so all is well.

A bunch of stuff.

Here’s the results from a google search.

Environmental factors which often influence sex determination during development or sexual maturation include light intensity and photoperiod, temperature, nutrient availability, and pheromones emitted by surrounding plants or animals.

We're not talking about fish, amphibians, insects, or any other creatures. We're talking mammals here, because that's what humans align with.

Primary sex determination is the determination of the gonads. In mammals, primary sex determination is strictly chromosomal and is not usually influenced by the environment. In most cases, the female is XX and the male is XY. Every individual must have at least one X chromosome. Since the female is XX, each of her eggs has a single X chromosome. The male, being XY, can generate two types of sperm: half bear the X chromosome, half the Y. If the egg receives another X chromosome from the sperm, the resulting individual is XX, forms ovaries, and is female; if the egg receives a Y chromosome from the sperm, the individual is XY, forms testes, and is male.

It goes both ways. Switch the happy/sad face and you get the other side.
Of course, the term "white" was started due to affording white slaves more rights than non-white slaves. There's a whole bunch of other reasons why, but the term was essentially started to segregate people based on skin colour. Your taking issue with the term "whiteness" is pretty progressive.

I stand corrected on the mammal thing. Just me being a lazy google searcher.

Anyhow, the point of humans being born intersex still stands and in my opinion makes this issue much more complicated than the nice bow people try to put on it.
