This seems negotiable, depending on the caliber of player.
I get why he does it. Because he doesn't want to be a hypocrite. But many of these big time players taking "unofficials" have so much shit paid for that it is essentially an official

Sorry if you don’t like facts and don’t want to face reality, but Defensive recruiting objectively sucks. It’s nothing but 3* and low 4*. This isn’t good

You’ve made your point over and over again on almost every thread I have looked at today. It’s like a 90 year old senile Priest making his one point in a sermon 50 times. I apologize if you are indeed 90 years old and senile. That would explain a lot.

So I have a theory on this class and how it's developing. Could be off base but putting 2+2 together. Id assume Freeman and Co didn't like the way things transpired at the end of the cycle last year. That mixed with the rumblings that FUND may be getting more serious. They are taking commitments from big time prospects they don't feel will be an issue down the line, but maybe they're taking a different approach with some of the names they feel could be swayed late in the game with a big check.

So they’re just taking a peek down a different aisle?

This makes a lot of sense, you KNOW they’ve made some sort of adjustments to their recruiting strategy after the Bowen/Keeley fallout from 2022.

And moore. Moore was probably the biggest one that burnt them.

The tough situation is "the next best" players typically don't come to the place that landed the best. That's the fear of landing a stud early in the process and they back out late, you missed out on all the next best at their position.

Freeman and company need to figure it out because the way recruiting has gone the last 8-9 months, the gap is only increasing vs the big boys.

I think you might be right about this part. It definitely feels like a reset of sorts while they regroup and get a grip on this new era of recruiting along with the transfer portal. These are what most will consider high three to low four star guys who check most if not all of the boxes when it comes to academics, character, leadership, etc. They can obviously ball too but are not on any 250 or 300 lists presently.

As much as the inbound shopping aisle jokes are funny, it feels to me like the whole damn store is what changed because of NIL and the Portal. I just hope whatever ND does to adapt happens quickly and efficiently as possible.

Tell me Golden's expression is not one of pure bliss?
I'm not sure why you ended this post with a question mark. Also, sir, this is a Dennys.

It's crazy how Cole was under the radar for as long as he was.

So with my 2 most recent posts that Lambert and Brix are OVing the same weekend (June 2nd), I am beginning to wonder if Prescod is going to have a spot if he waits much longer.
