Big boy hire by Jack. Doesn't matter if PSU hasn't historically been competitive at basketball, they are one of the most well-endowed athletic departments in the country and were willing to pay High D1 money.

Great hire, if he hits the portal promising lots of playing time we could see the program turn around quicker than we all hoped

Jack is hitting bombs.

Sounds like Penn State didn't care enough about hoops to give Micah the bag. Their loss.

And yes, if that is the case, the irony should not be lost on anyone here.

I have been on a bit of a hiatus from the bball team and this board cause I was feeling down about where we are as a program. This changes things drastically.

Micah is a great hire. I’m confident he can bring us back to the tourney. Hopefully sooner than later but if it is later and we go deep into tourney then I’m ok with that

Being reported we are paying Shrew over $4M per year, which would make him one of the top 10 highest paid coaches in the country.

Big boy numbers by ND.

Damn if that's accurate....quite a statement made by ND about basketball and it's importance to the athletic department/university.

I mean, with the Shrews hire, Starling could still return, couldn’t he? Sure, he committed to Cuse…but is he not still on campus?

I think this is a great hire...Hopefully it pans out as well as I think it will. Actually shocked that they invested this much into their basketball program.

Love it, he’s an Indiana guy through and through. For you guys outside Indiana it’s absolutely accurate the love small towns have for basketball programs
