Offer list leaves something to be desired. Is he getting an offer based on dad or do we expect him to blow up?

Only a Soph in HS but I'd say at this point, it's a little bit of both.

He's gonna top 20 offers if he doesn't commit early. I doubt he'll ever get all the offers for one reason or the other but right now I'd put him on the 87-89 / 3 Star track.

And Bettis Jr., feels comfortable saying the Irish are currently at the top of his list.

“It's safe to say they're my top school right now.”
Well, my expectations just went sky high.

He mentions no other visits being locked in but wants to go to Oregon. I don't see Oregon having offered. That right there allows me to temper my expectations somewhat.

Key for him is that the program wants him and not his legacy. Freeman, Parker and Stuckey have to drive that home hard more than anyone it would seem.

I haven't had a chance to watch his film, but I've heard mixed things. Is he worthy of a scholarship or is this a legacy scholarship like Jake Golic?

This season should be clarifying, he’s grown quite a bit and done pretty well in camps. He played for Westminster last season (Holden Staes’s HS) but is transferring to Woodward Academy this season where he should have better competition and QB play. He’s got some good ball skills and is smooth, hopefully he can show good explosiveness and route running as a junior to bump him up to 4 star level

I’m curious how receiver will play out this cycle. I heard that we may only be taking a couple guys but there are quite a few that seem like we have a good shot at like Meadows, Talyn Taylor, Cooper Perry, Taz Williams+ a bunch of highly rated guys from NJ Catholic schools-only Quincy Porter has an offer so far.

I don't think Freeman would offer legacy schollies like that, just a hunch. That's now how you "enhance" a roster.

As long as you continue to recruit the rest of the room well, this is one of those legacy names you want to have on the roster.
