Ok, I think I see what you are doing so I'm going to be as blunt as possible and you tell me if I got you or if I'm missing something.
Am I understanding your position? Are you understanding mine? If you are following me and you disagree about something, please point it out.
- Nobody offered Rashada or any other Florida boys money directly, at least none of the Florida boys you associate with.
- People did offer massive NLI deals that are being brokered between booster clubs and agents on behalf of these players but it doesn't go into immediate effect and there are stipulations tied to the contracts...er...."verbal agreements". These stipulations can be based on performance or time or both or any other variable but gifts/money or some other method of transferring "value" to the players is occurring via 3rd parties in an effort to drive these kids to various schools.
- Now whether or not this is at the behest of the coach (there will never be a paper trail because these things are handled in unmic'd shadow-filled rooms) or just some willy-nilly booster conglomerate that identifies talent and then proffers deals, no one can say for certain. But read the 2nd option again and tell me how absurd that sounds.
- In order to preserve the innocence of these Florida kids, in the instance shit does hit the fan and these dirty practices are put on a podium, you are saying no money was given to these kids but we don't mean straight cash, homie. We are talking about value transfer in myriad forms to kids for going to X school.
