This big time. Brady & The FUND needs to establish a clear link between between on-field performance and ND NIL earnings power very fast. As far as I’m concerned we’ve already lost the battle for the 5 star guys/uncles for upfront pay. There’s still a case to be made for high 4 star guys who can come in, make an impact, and get paid more in the first 12 months from signing your LOI than anywhere else in the country.

4 for 40 is great and still has a place, but the emphasis needs to be on year 1 right now as opposed to years 10, 20, 30+.

On another note, anyone know how locally targeted our NIL campaigns are? I remember ND putting KHam and Kyren and others on billboards in Atlanta, STL, etc. Are there boots on the ground in the hometown markets getting these guys opportunities in their own backyard where they already have a brand from HS established? I really like the charity initiative, but would love something a little more passive on the Players’ part too.

Harrison Smith in 2010 with 7 as a junior. Oddly, he had all 7 of his career interceptions that year and none in his other three seasons.
