I will say, he’s one I’ve followed closely over the years since he appeared on that Netflix show, QB1. Seemed like a pretty grounded kid, even a few years ago.

Same. IIRC, he and his mom rented an apartment for the season near the new HS he transferred to. I think he was already committed to WF at the time of the show. Otherwise, that would‘ve been too risky to transfer to a school w/ a start-up program.

The thread is about QBs in the portal in 2023, if you don’t like what people post in a thread just stay out of it, or better yet just read it and move on. I don’t understand this new influx of people bitching about what people post, especially since it’s relevant to the thread itself

This is unusual Does he still have to spend 5 years in the Air Force? I've never heard of anyone grad transferring from a service academy. After completing their second year they cannot leave without paying back tuition and the five year requirement is pretty hard to avoid.

This guy can pass BTW, he just doesn't get to very often.

Apparently top students are allowed to go to grad school at other institutions and have it count towards the commitment.

Apparently top students are allowed to go to grad school at other institutions and have it count towards the commitment.

He is allowed to attend graduate school elsewhere, but the Air Force still has say in what degree he pursues and he still must complete the full commitment.
Many times he will be considered in the reserves while he attends grad school, but is still a Commissioned Officer under the Air Force’s control.
That’s how it was in my time.

I thought this thread might actually focus on QB’s that ND is interested in and who might be a good fit for the offense. Apparently it’s cool to update for any QB regardless of what school they’re from even those that have zero chance of actually being on ND’s radar. Can’t wait to get the update that the QB’s from UMass and UConn hit the portal.
