The “sad” part about this with the way Dante and Peyton handled this is let’s pretend the beat is right and these are/were “good kids”. Basically they’ve entered a life changing phase and come out completely okay with lying to others and breaking their word etc.

100% changed the course of his life dramatically. He's completely changed the reason he's going to school and to play football. May work out, but they were two completely different roads laid before him. He went with one where he'll be surrounded by those with much different motivations and intentions in their lives than those at ND.

Just said the same thing to a friend. Along with the fact that money is the multiplier. If you're a selfish, lying, asshat now you'll be ten times the asshat with money (the opposite can be true for good character folks as well). It's a shame and I blame the parents (although the mom seemed pretty shocked herself) with his actions.
