Honest question, have US fans ever been happy with our coach? I really can’t remember. Which is probably normal since 90% of soccer fans seemingly hate their coaches.

Love the country of Argentina and love Messi! I don't know how you can watch Neymar take dives all day or listen to Ronaldo cry in the tabloids and not pull for Messi the GOAT!
Definitely pulling for Argentina now so Messi can retire with a Copa Mundial and take his place beside Maradona as the greatest Argentinian to ever play the game.

Messi is probably the greatest ever, not counting just Argentine, he passed Maradona long ago. People get too wrapped up in the WC as if it defines a player. When Argentina won the WC with Maradona they were the best team in the world, with elite players around Maradona, who had won the WC previously.
Messi lead Argentina to the WC finals basically by himself, with no Ageur, no DiMaria, no Tevez, and lost in Extra Time to the best team in the world at the time, Germany.
And Messi’s club career is in a different universe than Maradona. Those aren’t even close.

With guys like Fernandes and Silva, Portugal can kick rocks. Only Neymar is worse than those clowns and he was already gone.

No doubt. When you account for the different eras they played in, you can make the case that Messi > Pele for GOAT. But there’s a loud demographic in Argentina that will always hold Maradona in higher esteem until he brings home a cup. And for his own sake, I hope Messi doesn’t have to retire that way.

Really seems like England got killed by the refs in this one. Unforced error by France to commit that second penalty in the box.

Definately seems like Messi is greater but Maradona is more beloved.

Given two penalty kicks vs zero and they're "killed" by the refs?

The penalties were blatant fouls in the box and the second one was only awarded after the VAR ref flagged it. That foul was egregious and should have been called immediately, a total unforced error by France. There was a ton of other contact that went uncalled, but it seemed to mostly favor France in the no calls. Overall France played better, but was just so sloppy that they let England stick around with those penalties.

Everyone was like, ‘Come on Pulisic, a tiger knee to the balls doesn’t put you out THAT long,…….’

Those of you who follow the USMNT, what’s your thoughts on Reyna? I’ve not seen a lot of him but from what I have, this isn’t shocking. Seems talented, always hurt, and kind of aloof. I’m probably off on my assessment though. Curious what others think of him.

He's young and probably has a bit of prima Donna in him. But all the great ones do right?
