Someone was going to decomitt or transfer; I’m still not ruling out a transfer in the offseason. Love and Edwards are both top 100 guys, so I can see why Limar would want to look elsewhere.

Love and Edwards are both freaks in their own right. Their talents and abilities are required for Notre Dame to be a playoff team. McCullough went from Irvin/Limar to Love/Edwards. That’s a pretty crazy upgrade.

I think the staff plans on using Love and Edwards a lot in the WR game more so than RB. Try to get your fastest guys out there at once.

Maybe. But they’re close to being at a healthy number for receivers again, so I don’t think they’ll be forced to do that.

Did you hear something or is it more taking an educated guess?

Yeah, not going to lose sleep over Limar de-committing bc of Love & Edwards.

I don't really agree that ND is fine at RB.
-There is no indication that Gibran Payne will be good at all yet with his injury history in high school
-Achilles is one of the toughest injuries to come back from for Jadarian Price
-Tyree will probably stay for his senior year, but there's been talk he won't.

Sure, we will probably have at least one more year from both of Diggs and Estime if not two. But there is a chance the current freshman class is a lost class. That would potentially leave ND with Diggs, Estime, Love, and Edwards. I am hopeful Price has a full recovery given the flashes we saw from him in the spring game, but we can't bet that he'll be the same guy.

Limar, while the least talented of the group of him, Edwards, and Love, may be the best pure RB of the 3 and his best comp is Kyren. Retaining Limar gives you a lot more flexibility on how you can use Love and Edwards.

He was at the BYU game and I believe I saw he was slated to return for Clemson. Hopefully that is still the case.

The funny thing is if it all shakes out that he would flip from us to UO and still be in a 3RB class out there.

They only have 1 committed

Notre Dame RB Depth Chart Next year. There is alot of young talent in front of him with Aneyas WIlliams trending in the class of 2024. Limar is a great talent but he might not see much of the field
Estime '21
J.Love '23
Diggs '21
Edwards '23
Jadarian Price '22
Chris Tyree '20
Limar '23
Gi'Bran Payne '22
Yeah I’ll be honest I didn’t bother to check.

That can only help, right? IIRC Oregon is viewed as the main threat to flip him.
Depends. If the relationship is the factor, should be fine. If it's the bag, then they have to keep fighting for him.

Limar is the "true" RB of the three in the class right now. He's the guy who would likely get the most carries at the end of the day if it were necessary. I still consider him important to the class and would rather not see him sign elsewhere.

Yep. Our RB room may be pretty stacked but I still want all the guys. Kids get hurt, don’t pan out, transfer, whatever. And you never know who’ll emerge over the next couple years. Estime, for instance, was not an elite recruit.

I despise everything in my being about that kit Coach is kickin but if everyone looked like that in skinny boyz, I'd be down at Men's Wearhouse getting mines.

ISD with an update that the visit went well. Oregon and UCLA will be visiting this week and with those schools being closer to home options, they have him still listening. Hope we don't lose out on this kid last minute.

I know ND will be fine with or without him, but I think his potential impact is understated as the only pure RB in this class after a class where the elite back in it tore his Achilles.
Absolutely. Injuries and transfers will happen so we need as much talent at RB (and all positions) as possible.

Very similar to Kyren in that I don't think he wows in any aspect of his play except production. Over time the production becomes undeniable. I'd hate to lose him.

Oregons depth chart is actually better than ours 4 sophomores and two freshman got snaps last year plus they have a highly ranked kid coming in

Not many bigger clowns in the business than Hopkins, but...in today's NIL age of college football and Nike sponsoring Oregon, I wouldn't be the least but surprised.
