I think Angeli is a 5 year guy. One of the talking heads alluded to it too. If Pyne should happen to go down for the season against USC and Angeli played today then the redshirt does get burned in the bowl. Yeah, not the worst thing, but if there's no strong reason for Angeli to come in then no need. He can get reps in the 4th after we're kicking the crap out of USC and Mississippi St in the Gator.

The 2000 yards was part of it, but I also think it was the coach's last sendoff for Mayer. They knew those would be his last plays in ND Stadium, and they had something prepared on the Jumbotron for it so the fans could cheer as he made his exit.
