Saw Sadio Mane is now ruled out due to injury. Shame.

My biggest complaint about the WC now is the schedule jam and running straight from league play and CL play into WC play and then back to league play. Crazy. Too much for these guys and clubs.
Not so fast my friend...

I saw an article last night that they are going to use a witch doctor to try to cure him...

The reach these assholes had was pretty impressive. The timing of Netflix dropping this one week before the Qatar World Cup is pretty brilliant, too.

Four episodes. Better than Ronaldo Man United drama.

I’ve never been less hyped for a World Cup,… the Qatar thing and the hangover from missing out last time maybe,… but yeah. Good news is if I’m barely into it tends to be when my teams do well so,…

Don't forget it's November and not summer. We got our first snowfall here today and the World Cup starts....this weekend. My internal sports clock is just off because of it.

I agree with you about Qatar. The hangover from 2018 I am over once I knew they were in. The overall sentiment, however, I do agree with you. And I still think they're going to screw this up and not get through.

Truthfully, the time of year is a bigger letdown than where it’s played. I’m sure once the games start being played I will be more into it.

Seeing the schedule has me getting pretty pumped. Have already blocked off my work calendar for some key matchups where possible (and even squeezed in some 30 minute meetings to start when half times should be).

I do like the way the schedule shapes up for the US. While Wales is dangerous, this is a game the US can definitely win. Onto England is obviously going to be very difficult, but I will be going to an AO pub for that one so it'll be a time regardless. Closing with Iran for a spot in the knockout round is as good of a set up for this round as you can hope for. 🤞🤞🤞

If Tyler Adams can destroy enough challenges, and Matt Turner keeps up his Spiderman imitation, USMNT at least has some chance.

Even with Aaronson and Pulisic though, can't see enough other midfield service supremacy to get goals. Hope I'm wrong.

Still think we should play a stronger player at our 9, even if he gets no shots. Need a ball keeper and passer to our guys who can strike.

It would be a disappointment if we cannot get out of this group.
This isn't just a young squad playing with house money.

We have more overall talent then both Wales and Iran by a decent margin, and we're relatively healthy going into this competition.
Gregg should be fired the day after our World Cup campaign is over if he isn't able to get to the knockout stage, in my opinion.

Currently living in Spain, can’t wait to check out the atmosphere for some of the Spanish games here. Gonna be in Salamanca for the US England game. Probably will be surrounded by English fans due to the large college presence there, but we’ll see how I manage.

I'm almost through the fourth episode and dang, this is insane. EVERYBODY was getting paid and FIFA was totally a mafia. Looking forward to keep watching it when I can.

USMNT has some very good athletes. I have however NEVER YET seen them play a game vs any opponent who seemed to have a pulse, where we looked like a harmonic whole. I've not seen rhythm, nor dynamic coordinated attack, nor sweeping away opponent challenges via coordinated waves of defenders, nor even much aggression anywhere. ... and I've seen that in LOTS of other countries' teams. I don't think that they are ready AS A TEAM, but at the same time believe that with a little luck, Turner, Adams, Aaronson, and Pulisic just might squeak us through the group. ... but I'm sure not counting on it.

And on a mildly related topic, the girls seem to be the same way --- in their case WAY OVERRATED and seriously devolved from the loss of the game's great destroyer (Julie Ertz) and the non-availability of half of the Sauerbrun-Dahlkamper centerback partnership, plus the world's best leftback, Crystal Dunn (trying to get back into shape.) This team headed downwards fast, while the guys are being hyped upwards fast, and neither going to much succeed. ... that plus Liverpool gives me depression.

Shit Show at the F*ck Factory.

FIFA deserves this, even if the scumbags who did it are no longer around. Let it serve as a constant reminder to them.

I have been to 2 World Cups in my lifetime, yet this was one I would not take tickets for free. Way too oppressive...the beer thing kills it for me!
Looking forward to some excellent games though...
