I cannot envision any barely reasonable scenario where I would ever vote for fucking Liz Cheney.
I meant for her actual quote to be the point but apparently ulk went all in on MeidasTouch and completely missed the entire point of her quote and the REDShart

Question, should kids who purchased a car in college or spent money on a frat/sorority get full student loan repayment? Or should their repayment baseline subtract money spent on convenience/leisure, which could have been spent on tuition?

And would all car purchases be considered leisure? What if the car was required to transport to a place of employment? What if the car wasn't necessary for employment?

How might one codify what is allowable and unallowable?
If they bought it with credit and not student loans they can get rid of it with a bankruptcy.

You can basically buy whatever you want on credit, except an education, and discharge the debt by filing a simple petition and waiting a few months.

Sure.

Lol, please tell me you're just throwing crap on the wall. You've got to be smarter than this.

Those donations happened after she denounced the January 6th riot and voted to impeach Trump over it. Had she not acted on her values, she'd have been re-elected last week and still, at a minimum, be the #3 Republican in the House.

It's adorable that you think politicians are virtuous and not out for themselves.
Cheney knew she wouldn't be re-elected over this personal spat with Trump so she went all in. Since 2021 she's gotten more donations from out of state for her primary campaign than she got from her home state and from a lot of blue states. She's endorsed Democrat candidates. Her PAC ran negative ads against Lake in Arizona. You think she's doing all that out of good will and her own pocket? She's a poster child for liberals trying to fracture the GOP, and she's getting paid to do it. It's also why Trump needs to go away sooner rather than later.

And you aren't concerned about promoting behavior that would lead to strategic bankruptcy?

I'm not promoting behavior, just answering your question.

I don't care whether creditors get paid. Conservatives spend an awful lot of time defending a financial system that spends billions promoting filth, degeneracy and leftist ideology. Probably better to help release a small burden off the backs of our youth that may vote with you one day than it is to shill for corporate interests that loathe your existence.

The fight to control the House is essentially over. Many news sources have called a few more races and Republicans now hold a 217-205 lead, needing to pick up only 1 more of the 13 undecided seats to gain control of the House of Representatives.

That's not what I said. I believe Liz Cheney is a terrible person. I also believe she values our style of democracy and is willing to stand up, at the cost of her political career, against a clear threat to it.

As for your strawman about supporting Democrats... If you took two seconds to examine who the Democrats she endorsed were running against, you'd realize that they were a few of the most ardent election deniers (one thinks women are unlikely to get pregnant from rape). So her efforts to defeat them is consistent with her demonstrated values.

But those are the candidates that they like lol. Liz Cheney is detestable, and is hilarious that she's demonized by people that are just now coming around to the idea of Orange Jesus being bad. Like, if they just rallied around the less outwardly terrible people they would be clapping up elections. But, owning the Libs is just too juicy for cleatus and co.

Nobody has posted the video of Liz Chaney calling maternity wards "killing fields" for Democrats yet...

I mean, that's the Boise State Fiesta Bowl Statue of Liberty play that ends the game. At least I would have thought.

Right, because she threw away her entire political career and livelihood over a beef with Trump. Yeah, there was money involved.
It doesn't need to be DNC money. She is going to land on her feet with ease. She's a Cheney. Being a member of the House isn't her livelihood. Her hubby is a partner at Latham & Watkins.

Bingo. I think a lot of people also forget how many (R) incumbents didn't run in 2018 and 2020. Dudes like Paul Ryan just bailed out and didn't want to be part of the circus. I doubt any of them are getting seasonal work at Fed Ex right now to make extra money for Christmas.

The other "Dem on the payroll" Adam Kinzinger gave an interview months ago and said straight up he didn't need the job. Mind you, his situation was different than Chaney in that Illinois drew new maps that were going to be very tough on him, but he's going to have plenty of other avenues to earn too.

They'll both have books out before we know it.

Kind of like how Toronto ignored that a Twitter employee admitted to targeting dissenters because Project Veritas caught him saying it.

Why didn't you call him out on that?

I didn't ignore it? I said it was a dumb thing for a low level staffer to say. Still waiting for your theories on how shadow banning and censorship was happening.
