His senior film looks pretty good so far. I would be interested in watching a full game film if anyone has one.

Protypical size, strong arm, and great athleticism but no idea about his accuracy and ability to go through progressions. And Yikes his team is 1-9.

If we had our pick (which we don't) I would prefer a high ceiling guy in 2023 since Angeli / Carr are/were so polished out of HS. Not sure if this is the guy tho lol.

USF really could have been UCF if they made the right hire after Jim Leavitt. Can't imagine being an alum of South Florida and having to deal with their rivals success.

Apparently communicating with Oregon State commit Aidan Chiles. Loy thinks if they go all in they have a shot at flipping

Have to imagine they are still communicating with higher ranked guys if they aren't going all in on Chiles. No reason not to.

Do you see what happens, Benny? Do you see what happens when you troll Notre Dame fans on Irish Envy?

I like the skill set, I like the size. If we can pull it off I'd call it a win

Competition looks horrendous. He’s got a some what of an accurate ball which looks strong.
Great size and frame who could take some shots running the ball if he’s called upon. Looks deceivingly quick.
Take him & a grad transfer

How many times do they play that team in grey? They're in a majority of the highlights and they're terrible.

Sorry, I am not sold on this guy. Seems lumbering and (I know, I know) I don't like the arm action. However, it's bar close, the lights are coming on, and you need to go home with someone I guess.

My understanding is that they're talking with a LOT of committed dudes who don't want it publicized but all of them are worried to different degrees about how "attractive" the situation is. WR issues, we don't throw the ball much right now, scheme issues, PT issues because it's a murky path to PT, etc.

Maybe Rees can show them the Box Score of the Fiesta Bowl if they want to know his preferred offensive system.

Selling a HS QB on our current class with the WRs in it shouldn't be a problem. Also just tell them "it's our backup QB so we're playing way more conservatively than we'd like".

I’m certain that is not TR’s preferred system. He passed that game almost exclusively because he didn’t have any other choice. It would seem TR would prefer a more balanced attack.

This is, unironically, what is happening. Allegedly. The recruiting pitch is "I want to throw the ball all over the place but need a QB that can do it. We are running the ball this year because it fits our personnel." ND is allegedly in the mix with a bunch of players -- including Jackson Arnold, who that one account never should have publicized was talking to the staff... Arnold is looking for a backup plan for if Lebby leaves for somewhere else that doesn't fit him... -- but none of them really want to pull the trigger on a visit or flip right now. Some are also, allegedly, using ND interest to leverage NIL deals from the schools they're currently committed to.

Bigger picture -- I think ND really wants to focus on landing the best transfer QB they can this offseason but it'll be hard for a lot of undergrad transfers who may not be a fit or who have better options. NIL is also a huge factor. We'll see.

why would they be worried about coming to ND? ND has a good OL and can run the ball taking the pressure off the QB. ND has a good group of TEs and the incoming freshman class of WRs should be a QBs dream and the current depth chart shouldn't scare any top QB recruit.

This is gonna be an old man take, but if you’re comfy committed to a spot that has a 0% chance of making the CFP and don’t see the upside of choosing ND instead, probably for the best…

“Talking with guys who are committed elsewhere and don’t want word to get out” feels like the new “silent commit.”
