I mean transsexual literally refers to sex, transgender refers to gender. So taking them at their literal meanings they are not the same.Ok, so you are on board with the idea it doesn't matter what we call people here illegally. A spade is a spade.
But you will put up a fight on the transsexual/transgender hill? The trans thing has impeded on people. Nearly or entirely on women. The Lia Thomas thing has helped in the sporting realm. It will continue to do so on a bipartisan basis.
Gender isn't some big social construct. Until the last 5-10 years it was a less "icky" word for people to say than sex. Nothing more, nothing less. If sociologists wanna claim it hasn't (rightfully) been viewed in vernacular as sex, by all means... happy to let them keep digging a hole and dying on a hill in front of the people who control their funding.
I'm just speaking about societal impacts, when it comes to sports I'll leave that to scientists to decide rather than common folk.
The government has a goal of allocating 5% of all funds to woman owned small businesses (WOSBs). They rarely achieve it, so they are desperate to find WOSBs to send money to.
What if I told you that I got rich by claiming to be a woman so I could categorize my business as a WOSB and siphon the set aside funds? And what if I told you that I just put a new license plate on my $145k Audi RS6 Avant that says "WOSB LOL"?
What if I promised you that I was super serious about identifying as a woman, profiteering aside, and that by questioning me you were objectively immoral?
Sure I did. You just refused the answer. Don't confound the two.
Funny, I didn't see you post the job titles of the Twitter employees who wrote the paper claiming that the algorithms favored conservatives posts, but you treat the paper like absolute truth. Did you bother to look at the authors' titles before you posted the paper? What if you discovered that the lead author was .... a client partner at Twitter?!?
Let's revisit what I said:
Did I say I was talking about you, or are you failing to infer yet again?
1) Federal Register :: Request Access They need to be US citizens, which means you'll need to provide government identification that shows you are legally a woman. So if you're willing to go through with changing all your government identification to showing as a woman, go nuts. Most people won't actually go through all that trouble. There are also likely contingencies on funds received that have stipulations that you need to maintain a certain eligibility ie. you can't make your daughter the owner of the company for one year. Of course if you're going to go through with any sort of scam you're going to open yourself up to IRS exposure, which if you had any foresight this would have stopped you.
2) LOL many of the authors have way greater credentials than a client partner. Literally the first three are essentially Tom Brady to Drew Pyne levels of capability.
Ira Ktena - Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Twitter
Ferenc Huszár - Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Twitter
Conor O’Brien - Machine Learning Researcher at Twitter
Now that you have their credentials, would you trust the client partner or the machine learning researchers? Please let us all know which one you pick. On one hand you can trust a team of machine learning researchers, or you can take the word of a client partner. This should be good.
You serious? Easily against the DHS with respect to surveillance of it's citizens. I will say it's pretty ironic there's all this uproar now that white supremacy is the focus.
