Thanks for putting this together. So much talent and potential.

Tough call, but if I had to pick, the player I'm most excited about is Jagusah--especially if we stay committed to the UNC game-style offense.

What say you all?

To be fair, a friend compiled this and I'm passing it along here. He's a good lad. And thorough.

As far as talent and potential, I would agree, even with some of the losses and misses. Pitt DL Coach Charlie Patridge used to say, on signing day you should never be thinking about the guys you didn't get. Think about the ones you did and get ready to coach them up.

ISD says Jackson Arnold is definitely not flipping. Said same thing Loy said, been in contact with some guys that we are familiar with. Didn't say names.

I understand athletes get preferred/expeditated admissions, but don't kids have to apply to schools fairly soon to make sure they get in? I would think early enrollers are already all setup with admissions paperwork but would like any feedback from people familiar

It’s gonna be wild when signing day comes and they didn’t sign a QB. Nearly as insane as signing one WR last season.

Yes it'd be great to have Keeley or M'Pemba, but at that position, anyway, the gap isn't so big. I think people are sleeping on Boubacar b/c he's been no drama.
Post 1,081 suggests getting a DE. I saw a CB for M'Pemba to Georgia and yet Keeley remains uncommitted. Freeman needs to get Keeley and any other uncommitted recruits here for the Clemson game.

Oh I'm all for getting another DE, and I'm on record (with you) saying we should really keep working on Keeley. I see no reason not to.

Was just responding to "we were promised gap closers" by noting that - as a recruit anyway - we already have a guy in the fold who is basically physically identical to - and higher-rated than as a recruit - our first-round draft pick edge rusher. Maybe Keeley or M'Pemba develops into, like, Chase Young. But Traore could be pretty damn good too.

It can be argued that we may lack gap closers, but this class is slightly more elevated than last years. Stacking back to back classes like this is a great thing. But also means the 2024 class will need to be a step up - even if it’s 5% more talented. Gradual improvement year after year will get ND to a better place, and better on field performance.

That being said, landing elite EDGE, DBs, QBs and WRs should be the goal year in and year out.

We should see if the two DE’s committed to OU are interested if their season turns sideways. One is a teammate of great house and the other is from Missouri. Both look like great players!

I am not knocking you and I agree with your original post.

I still think Freeman is working on Keeley, if anything concerns me it is Larry Johnson at OSU.

I agree that Traore can be good for ND, but I like a tag team of Keeley and Vernon.

Tom Loy - always first - rarely right
Yeah I mean he has earned a bit of criticism over the years but don't think this is one of those times, he had the scoop and the kid changed his mind, and then he had the scoop on that as well.

We are 10,000% not getting a QB in this class.

And the only reason that isn’t Tommy’s biggest recruiting failure as an OC is because he already knocked that out of the park with one WR in the last class.

The kid can’t honestly believe UCLA is gonna pull his scholly. And if so, why stay with the school threatening to do so?
