'Facilities' feels like a nice way of saying 'they'd pay me a lot of money' without saying 'they'd pay me a lot of money' for a kid who's not totally comfortable with that being the reason he'd be choosing a school.

“My mom loved it also. She didn’t care much for the facilities but she also knows facilities don’t make the athlete. It’s all up to us to work regardless of super lit facilities.”

ISD dropping their nuts on the table and saying it's looking good for the Irish. They must have a source in the family because they have been adamant about ND's chances from the get-go. The rest of the update is meh, but they brought some juice regarding Love

Gray and Love both at ND might open a MO pipeline. I believe they will all be at the Stanford game.

Wingo and McClellan are 2 bluechip recruits from STL in the 2024 class that we are decent position with, too.

McClellan is all Ohio State, Wingo maybe too

If you're saying this about them, then you can this about every receiver in the top 250. Don't think either have shown much interest in OSU or vice versa.

Edit: see Dale beat me to it.

McClellan was pumped about his OSU offer, one of his most recent offers. Certainly could be a big player as OSU has multiple CBC grads. But it’s nothing past just being offered a few weeks ago rn.

Whether we like it or not, ND is likely in a spot of actually hoping OSU lands their top targets yet again with the FL WRs they are after. Might as well hope they land Graham too if he isn’t an option here anyways.

It happens everywhere and been going on for a long time. I had a nephew who was recruited to go to Roncalli. His parents couldn’t afford it, yet he ends up there while his sister went to the local public HS. That was 25 years ago. Lol
I went to Roncalli. They don’t recruit. The administration didn’t like non-Catholics attending Roncalli, and they definitely didn’t want kids that didn’t “fit” culturally, socially, and economically. When the new basketball coach from LA recruited a couple of black kids, he was promptly fired.

Also, the only families that don’t pay full tuition are those that have multiple kids enrolled. If you scored in the top 10% on the entrance exam, you received a small tuition break. Financial aid is available through a 2nd party.

Apparently his school is in Indy playing Chatard tonight. They’re (Christian Brothers) up 41-17 at half

Indy Catholic schools better up their recruiting game
Cathedral absolutely recruits.

I can confirm though that Chatard and Roncalli, for the most part, are made up of kids that attended K-8 in one of their deanery feeders. Ritter and Scecina, too, to a lesser extent.

Cathedral doesn’t recruit either. Frankly, they don’t have to. Their tradition speaks for itself.

I used to think they recruited, too. But why haven’t they ever been caught? Recruiting is against IHSSA rules with severe penalties.

I’ve met/known many Cathedral grads over the years and every one of them has sworn that Cathedral doesn’t recruit. I believe them.

They literally just had a basketball player transfer from Portage. One of the best guards in this class. Jason Delaney coaches in the Indy Heat/Gym Rats program. You don’t think there’s a little influence there?

On the football side, you know as well as I do that up and down their lineup there are kids that never attend a parochial feeder school K-8.

I’m sure there’s some of it at other Indy area parochials, too—but it’s definitely going on at Cathedral.

Besides NIL being involved this is an old school type of recruitment- he is taking his time and let him. These are still big decisions for kids and Love knows the love that ND is showing him. I think ND closes and lands his commitment.

To comment on Dale about Moore or Keeley visiting again- I'd take Keeley over Moore 100%.

Cathedral isn’t a parochial school, though. Anyway, I had always thought they recruited, but again, why haven’t they been caught?

If you do it before they enter high school there’s no prior-link ruling involved. And, as in the case with the kid from Portage, if there’s a bonafide move, not much there you can prove. Everyone knows Keefer recruited Greg Oden to LN…but since he moved to the east side from Terredise, on paper it’s legit.
