The media lied again. They knew exactly where they were going and were given resources. What I love about one of the twitter comments from a DeSantis critic is just how racist and arrogant and elitist the left is. Once again, the real outrage here is NIMBY. Don't you dare send brown people to MV.

I thought you christian conservatives believed in caring for the weak or whatever it is that you people repeat to make yourselves feel better. What pathetic behavior.
It took less than 2 days for the rich, mostly white liberals to get 50 migrants relocated from Martha's Vineyard to another location. My only question is why they weren't taken to the Obamas' house.

But go ahead, please clutch those pearls, tell me all about republican racism, and how virtuous the left wing in America is. My popcorn is in the microwave.

C'mon Drayer. You know it's only evil and immoral when Republicans do it. When Dems put illegals in cages, separate children from their parents (or coyotes), bus them to sanctuary cities, and so forth, it's noble and loving because they had good intentions and just care more.

We believe in nations and borders. This isnt sustainable. We cant take in every poor person on earth who wants to come to america.

How many migrants have you taken in? Your so compassionate to the 'weak''. Should we send some to Hawaii so you can share the burden too? Maybe invite some to your neighbors as well on their dime? It's real easy to be compassionate with other people's money, resources, land and neighborhoods.

Cack, as well. I know he's no NIMBY hypocrit. He won't call the national guard to remove them from HIS neighborhood in less than 30 hours like those rich, white racists on Martha's Vinyard.
Educate yourself on the COFA treaty if you want to know how deep Hawaii is with immigration issues. Or go fuck yourself. I don't particularly care which option you choose.

It wasn't a crisis, when Obama was in office. It was a crisis when Trump was in office and it's not a crisis now that Uncle Joe is in office. Anyone else see a pattern here?
It's kind of the same patern with 'kids in cages'

You seem pretty upset about all the rich white liberals who tossed 50 illegal immigrants from the vineyard to another part of the state and no longer their problem. Very virtuous of you.

LOL, my neighborhood is now majority non-white hispanic, and if I'm meeting a truly random selection, then at least a high percentage first generation. They might not be in my back yard, but they are across the street, across the alley, two doors down, and all over the park haha. Its actually been pretty great seeing so many kids out at the park again. And we're no longer worried my middle school is going to close down.

I guess I'll post this here too:

This stunt is just another Republican created crisis. Its the same thing every time. Every time Republicans need to drown out some bad news they go on every channel and airwave saying how the border is open and Biden is letting everyone in. Then a bunch of migrants here that the border is open and they are letting people in, so they decide to go. The creativity comes in the next part where they have to figure out what will draw the most disproportionate number of cameras. Is it a caravan of a few hundred that news stations will cover their every step? A river crossing or an encampment under a bridge? Soldiers or vigilante groups?

The really messed up thing is that they don't actually want to solve anything. There have been no real proposals because they don't want a solution. Its basically the perfect political stunt that they can repeat multiple times per election cycle. It fits right in perfectly with their platform of fear and scare tactics. And no matter how dehumanizing it is, they won't lose voters because the target group don't vote (though they will tell you they do to add more fear) and they don't look like their voters so their voters will use all sorts of cognitive dissonance to say why its actually perfectly fine or actually someone else's fault.

Governors are taking action in unprecedented times. The Biden failure is so bad that they have to try and do something.

I guess I'll reply here as well. lol

You do realize that this problem became pretty big under Obama. It's not a Repub stunt. When Trump put his plan in motion to stem the tide, he was criticized for putting the illegals in the same detention centers Obama used. The Dems are happy to assist as long as they remain in Texas, AZ, Cali, etc. Bring them north and they show their true colors.

I think everyone is ignoring the most important thing here: the tidal wave crashing across the southern border is very good for the future prospects of notre dame. These venezuelans are all catholics, and in a generation or so we will be reaping the benefits as potentially our selectivity rises and admissions rate declines as America grows into an ever-more catholic nation

I have a 17 acre farm. I am building 2 houses on this property. They are both almost completed. Yesterday there were about 10 Mexicans that decided to stay the night in one of the houses. Called the police and they were all handed off to customs I guess… not sure. In the mean time there is writing on the walls and shit and piss in all the toilets because the plumbing isn’t turned on. They apparently entered through an unlocked window.

Here is a map. The red dots are places the officer told me they have found stash houses in the last week. Stash, meaning drugs, guns, people… The purplish area is where I was with the kids on the 4 wheelers when we saw about 20 Mexicans hiding in bushes or laying on the ground trying to not be seen. Blue dot is the farm… I guess if you want to come visit here is the map.

Within the last maybe 4 months we have random people on our farm trespassing, potentially trying to squat there until their ride comes. In one instance, I think in July, a guy refused to leave. I wasn’t there but my wife and father in law where. Got so heated my father in law felt the need to grab the gun and then fired a warning shot to try to get him to leave. He left for a minute but then came back. Luckily the police came at that point.

Another officer told me a story about a pizza delivery guy delivering a pizza in the Las Cruces area. When the door was opened he saw things that made him a call the police. Another stash house.

Graffiti everywhere. This is my outside fence/wall… yup I built a wall. Probably going to move and sell everything off but I might just rent the houses and building and have someone farm the land. Sureños win this round.

Also! Forgot to mention. A guy that assaulted my staff after shoplifting just got the charges dropped. Not sure why. But I guess who cares… I closed the store in July. Tired of that caca too.

Sounds like you have failed to appreciate the policies of your President. It's fine, we're told.

Surely your area had fair notice that these people were coming?

They'll fit right in with New Yorkers.

The best part of the article is this border agent.

“Unless we apprehend someone who voluntarily tells us they have committed a violent crime in Venezuela, we can only guess and that doesn’t work well,”

Remember when our friends on the left said we were overreacting about the millions of illegals coming in and said, "It's not like they will be voting or anything."

Maybe we should make the rule that as long as you were in the US at some point or another, legally or illegally, you are able to vote in the elections. That way we are being as inclusive as possible.

I believe that point was defended with data and charts. Lots of statistics.

My bad. I failed to note the author, and thus missed the obvious sarcasm. In my defense, we HAVE seen some genuine takes in here that are worse. 😁
