I unfortunately cannot watch yet, but has he made any mention of Tyree assuming the #1 RB role? I am clueless how we aren't giving him 10-15 touches a game, at a minimum. I understand the appeal of a beast like Audric Estime, but not with this OL. We need a more slippery back, and need to get speed out in space to counter this swiss-cheese OL.

Maybe they didn't trust Buchner with swing passes and screens, hopefully they can open that up more with Pyne. But who knows.

"Marcus Freeman on potential offensive line changes: "We feel very strongly about the five that we have out there."

"I don't see the offense changing extreme amounts." WTF

"There's no more pressure being 0-2 than being 2-0"

We've got to try to find plays to get the ball in his hands. Used at so many different positions even though he hasn't gotten the ball in his hands yet. (Regarding Tyree)

All puzzling statements

the OL is trash and Tyree can't break tackles. Its not rocket science

We are wearing green yikes, They think the best o-line is on the field yikes, Freeman thinks the offense will be ok with Pyne. Well i hope so cause it sure can't get worse.

We have some of the smartest kids in college football but some of the uninspired players in college football. I would have bet my life that would have never happened with Freeman.

his lone "big run" of 7 yards came in garbage time at the end of the 2nd quarter when Marshall was in prevent Defense.
So your solution is to just keep our inept offense the same? Run Estime, who has limited wiggle and still couldn't break Marshall tackles, into a brick wall of defenders? I hope you don't take this as me digging on Estime, it's not his fault. Clearly Tommy wants to ground and pound with Estime and there's two issues: 1) our OL is ineffective and 2) every DC on our schedule knows this is what Tommy wants our identity to be.

All I'm saying is, Tyree needs way more than 3 touches. Hopefully Pyne is a little more accurate and can distribute the ball to our skill position players in the flats and get us out into space. If we can soften the box, then a guy like Estime can eat.

Agreed. Wasn’t Tyree the only RB to convert a 4th down?
I believe so, yes. He took a handoff from Buchner and got across the line to gain with a solid second effort.

I really don't understand the ineptitude from Tommy. I'm not an Xs and Os genius, never claimed to be, but we have one of the worst offenses in the country. 117 in total offense. There are only 14 teams worse than Notre Dame offensively. This is mind blowing.

Did you expect fists on the podium and throwing people under the bus? Not sure what he supposed to say that would make losing to Marshall better
Hold people accountable. Yes, I do.

Gonna be heavy amount of outbound OL transfers in the offseason methinks

Freshmen are not ready
Rocco is apparently just not very good.
I doubt the frosh transfer with openings coming
Baker is stuck behind the two good, younger players.

Rocco and Robby are the only two I could see

Source? Other than an academic sophomore LINEMAN not starting yet...

Its all befuddling to me. I thought Tyree was going to be the clear #1 RB and also get Slot action too.

Actions, not words, right? Is anyone going to feel better if he slams the coaches and players on Monday, but the Saturday product is a disorganized mess? I spent a decade as a sports reporter and I know that very little of what a player or coach tells the media has any tangible meaning.

I’ll reserve my judgement for what changes he does or does not make to correct this mess.

If you can’t effectively pass block and open up seams it doesn’t matter what you call on offense you’re screwed over most of the 70 O plays in a game. I don’t care who is OC

Yup. We can't wait 6 weeks to fix the OL again. Get this taken care of, give the QBs time to operate. I just don't know who we throw to besides Mayer and Styles. Gotta hope Tobias lives up to the hype and grows up quick, and get Tyree passes from the Slot more.

Holy hell. Really, really hope he's playing possum here with media. Because a lot needs to change and quickly.
