Bad throwsAbsolutely. The pick-6 was horrendous (as was another near pick-6 at one point, I think), but that's a mistake you can accept from a sophomore QB early in the season. You just hope to see him avoiding those mistakes later in the year with more experience.
And I mentioned it somewhere else, but it legitimately seemed like Buchner was starting to dial it in a little bit early in the Marshall game before shit went off the rails. He was off by a full step (or more) when trying to hit deep throws against OSU. There were a couple of deep shots against Marshall where it was just a half step.
It felt like they were getting closer to connecting on the shot plays with more live-fire reps, but maybe that's just glass-half-full stuff.
Even worse effort by the receivers though.
QBs make bad reads (even vets)
But WRs (especially the Thomas one) HAVE to attack the ball. Unreal lack of effort (same for Colzie TB pick last year).
Not sure why Tommy keeps trying those boundary throws though.
