Listened to it today. Mayer was great and really explained the difference between being a student-athlete at ND vs the SEC or B1G.

Towards the end the audio gets rough but the meat of the Mayer interview is solid.

As a ND and 49er fan I loved this haha. One thing I thought about is how Mayer is the exception to the rule regarding BK recruits. Mayer is an elite 5 star who carries himself like that. I don't feel many of BK's guys were like this...especially post Jaylon Smith class. I expect more and more ND players to have this confidence as MF will recruit more guys like this

Will Compton and George Kittle? It’d say that’s more of a reflection of them being active NFL players (well sometimes active for Compton lol) than Barstool. Kittle isn’t normally there they were just doing his TE U thing too.

He admitted we have 4-5 big games but tried to insinuate that playing Cal, BC, UNC, etc are all a "joke," basically trying to lump them in with the Navy, Marshall and UNLVs of the world. Which is utter nonsense.

Looked up up on several outlets and we have the 13th toughest schedule according to ESPN's FPI. GTFO, quit being so technical. Worry about Iowa's cupcake division.

He wasn’t even aware that we play Ohio state. He, like many, just falsely assume ND plays cupcakes because they’re not in a conference. When Mayer said we open the year at Ohio State, he was like, oh, I didn’t know that. Duh.

Most people who hate on ND's schedule are those that went to Tier 2 or Tier 3 schools like Kittle. They are butthurt about their school not being "big time" and think that ND gets undue acclaim. They bemoan an "easy schedule" when what they're really trying to imply is that "my [irrelevant school] would win lots of games if we weren't in [hard conference] with [Tier 1 teams]".

Iowa (Kittle's team) plays one elite team this year... Ohio State. They play two "good" opponents... Wisconsin and Michigan. Every other team ND would be favored by 10+ points, and no one with a brain thinks that Michigan/Wisconsin are comparable to Clemson/USC this year. No matter how you slice it, ND plays a schedule more difficult than 90%+ of their FBS opponents.

No way. I hate Michigan but they're going to win at least 9 games this year and more than likely will get to 10 unfortunately. It's next year where we'll start to see a drop off.

This might be the worst non-conference schedule I can remember seeing. It is embarrassing if they do not win at least 10 games. You can't win two games out of four against Iowa, Penn State, Sparty and OSU?

Have you purchased anything from Rhoback before? The only discounts I've seen from them are first time purchase types and don't apply to subsequent orders. Their stuff is really nice, especially the hooded pullovers but also very expensive, so the discount would be nice lol.
